After months of exploring many places in and around St. Helena for a family wedding, I have to tell you that this place is truly a gem. It is inspired, fresh, and truly a special place with great service. It is more than comfortable, with top amenities, and it offers privacy despite being a B&B. more

I recently stayed in the Ciel room and loved it - it is very spacious with high ceilings but was a little surprised that given the overall decor and room price, there was an small older tube TV rather than a flat screen. A nice update though is that the Red Door now serves hot breakfasts each morning (unlike previous... more

I'm sorry to hear that the sirens bothered our guests. I wish they had brought their surprise to my attention. Unfortunately, the volunteer fire department of St. Helena calls in its fire fighters with an 8 second alarm that can be heard throughout town. We do in fact make a point, verbally and in print, of letting all of our...

The Red Door Inn is simply wonderful. Perfect location, great accommodations, convenient to everything. We had a fireplace in our room, plus there is an outdoor fireplace in the courtyard. Lindsey and Clinton took great care of us and were very knowledgeable about all the wineries and restaurants - a tremendous plus when there are so many options to choose... more

I don’t normally write reviews for places I’ve stayed, but The Red Door Inn was a special place that deserves mentioning. I fear though that by giving away my idea of a perfect B&B for everyone to see, it won’t be my little secret anymore. It is so well deserving that I am willing to sacrifice and share it with... more

Quiet and very well maintained. A plus for us was the clean interior design work, they didn't try to cram too many rooms into too small a space, the flow through the house was excellent. It felt very relaxing. When your hosts get the produce for breakfast from the local farmer's market you hope it will be great and it... more

I notice most of the reviews date from 2008. I think there have been BIG changes since then. The Inn offers a very nice, hearty breakfast made by two graduates of the Culinary Institute. Very, very satisfying. It also has 3 rooms now, not just the upstairs suite. The place feels like a home -- your home! not an Inn... more

This was a wonderful place to spend our first anniversary. The location is central to winery touring, the inn is adorable, and the hosts were so friendly. Our Breakfast was so great that we ended up eating at a local restaurant where one of our hosts is sous chef. more

We really enjoyed our stay at the Red Door Inn. The house is immaculate and lovely, well furnished, and with great amenities (full kitchen, steam showers, beautiful furniture, wonderful outdoor patio). The proximity to the shops and restaurants in St. Helena was valuable to us and we enjoyed being able to walk around town and to dinner. The breakfasts were... more

We've been to Napa twice in the last year, and each time stayed at The Red Door. Smack in the middle of St. Helena, Napa's premier village, and close to Calistoga, the valley's second-best village, in the northern end of Napa Valley. A 5-minute walk from several of the valley's best restaurants, The Red Door opens itself to visitors to... more
