We found ourselves in need of a room while visiting Sacramento and happened upon the Governors Inn after a ridiculously lengthy search for lodging. Not certain of how much time we would remain in the city, we decided to take a suite for the evening. I being unable to walk due to a recent orthopedic injury/surgery meant that my wife... More

I must say, the reviews I read on here didn't do the hotel justice. I was recommended by a friend to stay here and I'm glad I did. The rooms were clean and fresh. The rest of the hotel was very clean as well. I especially love that hotel is indoors, which makes for higher overall security. I stayed in... More

The room was quite large, clean and comfortable, and the staff was helpful. The only negative was the strong chemical smell (disinfectant?) in the room, but it dissipated with the ceiling fan and open window. Super reasonable rate for a holiday weekend. We'd stay there again.

We paid the 10 dollars more to stay at this hotel than we dis to camp in the redwoods the night before. It was a good deal! Its easy to find, got ample parking, and rear entrance and exit for easy navigation of the property. The room was nice and quiet even though there was a macdonalds drive through right... More

Large and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast (for US standards it was good). Staff is polite and ready to help. Property is well kept. What I appreciated the most was their shuttle service from and to airport. They even dropped me off downtown for my appointment! It is premium service. Will recommend and will come back. Excellent value for money at... More

The room and beds were large and confortable. Not super clean and fashionable, however, just to get some rest and good night sleep, it was more than sufficient. Although they promote their airport shuttle service, I would suggest that you book in advance since schedule and the routes are pretty flexible and subject to change frequently.

But definitely worth looking for tucked away behind a fast food restaurant. The room was huge, everything there we needed. The vending machine was out of cold water and it was so hot that day! And the frig was not plugged in so I went downstairs in my Jammie's for cold water. All else was quite lovely, easy check-in.

Sometimes, it's nice not to stay at a chain hotel. While not necessarily quaint we enjoyed a pleasant stay here. Two comfy queen beds housed in a spacious room with some contemporary furniture. Not too shabby I'd say. The phone is an old school hand-held cradle type which I got a kick out of. Semi-plush towels, a small, efficient shower... More

I have been at the Governors Inn for most of a week, and am very impressed. The clean, bright room is well-furnished. The staff is friendly, efficient, and has been responsive in an astonishingly timely manner to a broad of requests at all hours of the day and night. My stay has been during a relatively frenetic time for them,... More

I booked the hotel at the last minute for a week-long conference in Sacramento. I found the hotel to be conveniently located near downtown (though I had a car to travel the about 1.5 miles to the convention center) & clean. My room was quite large and the hotel was a step above the average mid-range hotel in decor, friendliness... More
