The Delta King is a wonderfully unique place to stay. The rooms were, indeed, small, but as we had booked the boat for a "different" kind of hotel experience- fed up with corporate rooms and homogenous suites- we loved everything about it. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely brilliant- fresh berries, delicious pastries etc- and the dining room was... More

Even tho this review headline shows "Long Beach" it is in Old Town Sacramento. An old refurbished river boat. The first room we were assigned, the water from both the hot and cold faucet in the bathroom dribbled out very hot, and letting it run didnot help. We had to run the water in the bathtub to get water to... More

We stayed here one night on Sept 8th for $113/night. It was a room on the '4th' floor with the 3rdfloor being the lobby level. Yes, the room was small but very quaint. The bed was nice and the bathroom cute with the unique toilet and pedestal sink. Yes, the floor slanted but this is a ship and there is... More

We stayed 1 night as part of a trip around california it was perfect. This authentic paddle steamer is moored next to the historical park in sacramento. The rooms were small but beautiful and made you feel transported to the 1930's .The restaurant on the boat provided the best meal we had during our whole USA trip, the staff were... More

We were really looking forward to staying on this old steamboat and had planned two nights. Access from the street is terrible for older folks like us. Valet parking ($18/day) is a must as there is no parking close by. From the Valet, we had to walk about 50 ft across two sets of RR tracks and some very rough... More

There were average things and interesting things about this stay. Delta King is a paddleboat, like what Mark Twain used to ride on. The day I arrived there was a large stage for a wedding being set up. My room was very small, not even a dresser. And the knob on the air conditioner was busted. But the antique flavor... More

We stayed here for one night and though as other reviews have said the rooms are small, they are not unbearably so unless you were planning to stay for a week and had a lot of luggage. the bathroom was narrow but again for a one or two night stay it is fine. more importantly the room was clean and... I called directly to the hotel to book the room and I was not too impressed since I was on hold forever and the person who answered asked if they could call me back. But you have to enjoy and respect the quaint, old fashioned character of the boat, which lends itself to a somewhat antiquated reservation system. Once I... More

Our room was lovely -- beautifully refurbished cabin on the city side. The bathroom had orginal fixtures and tilework. It was small, but functional. The location is excellent with walking access to old town Sacramento. Now for the noise. It started around 9 p.m. with the lounge band which could be heard throughout the boat. We turned up the TV... Wow! This was just what my girlfriend and I needed... a break from the February "blues". Running my own business, raising two kids and feeling the Sacramento Blues, it was time to re-charge the old batteries. My girlfriend and I decided to take a weekend in our own town and totally "escape" our lives. The Delta King offered us more... More
