We enjoyed two nights on the Delta King Riverboat in February. The rooms are small but the other amenities more than made up for the room size, in our opinion. (Ceilings are low for a tall person). There are no drawers for clothing - we lived out of our small suitcase. There are two bedside tables with a small space... More

He's an old boat, that's for sure. Despite it's fading facade, the Delta King is a piece of history and a fun place to stay the night in Sacramento. It's one of those things you just have to do to say you did it. The rooms are nice enough, and the toilet is a laugh—pull the chain and wait for... More

Surprised my husband for his birthday. We loved it! It was like going on a cruise without really going anywhere! We enjoyed our wine out on the deck overlooking the Delta and the lighted bridge. The rooms are really small, but it is suppose to be a "stateroom"...as on a cruise ship...they are small. The bed was comfortable and linens... More

I booked this hotel for a convention and was nervous about the stay. It was a pleasant surprise! Was the room tiny? YES!, Was the bathroom microscopic? YES! But so are most of the hotel rooms in SFO or NYC! This place ooozes with charm and history. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. The rooms, though small, are well-appointed... More

A floating hotel with a wonderful view and atmosphere. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck and enjoyed the view of the lighted bridge. The room was quaint and historic. The bar and grill was great! Good food and service. There was a great Irish band that played.

You can stay in a hotel anywhere but how often on a river boat in history. Great location, great photo opts, walking distance to good and funky restaurants, so come step back into the past, visit the quaintness and relive the history. Great fun. Now as for the rooms, if you are over 6'3 ' tall standing in the claw... More

Our company chose to Old Town Sacramento for our annual overnight get-away and we planned to stay at the Delta King. Our needs required 15 rooms. Naturally, this is a big and fun event for our company and I wanted it to be special. It was important to know what rooms were available, size, etc. so we could book the... More

Quirky place to stay and at a pretty good price. Walking on to the boat makes for a cool experience, and the setting (right in Old Sac) was fantastic. Full of great bars, quaint cafes and niche restaurants. The room was basic but ok for an old boat, and the en suite was acceptable. Breakfast is good. Location 4.5, hotel... More

This hotel is a paddlewheel boat that took travelers from San Francisco to Sacramento (and back) during the 1920s and 1930s, until trains and cars became much faster than boat. It's been restored and docked at the edge of Old Downtown Sacramento, which itself is a restored tourist area of beautifully painted Victorian buildings and wide wood sidewalks. The Delta... More

We stayed two nights on the Delta King and it was a great experience. We parked our car with their valet service for $22 a night and didn't need the car until we left for San Francisco because everything is walking distance. Old town with its shops and restaurants were right off the boat. We also walked to the State... More
