Have stayed @amber house 3 times in last 4 months - very comfortable rooms, delicious breakfasts, staff attentive to making each stay pleasurable - I'll be back! Also very convenient to variety of enjoyable evening dining options.

This was my second stay and the first time I stayed in the main house. The Longfellow room was spacious and clean AND surprisingly quiet. I slept with the windows open and heard hardly any noise at all. I hope to return again soon. For anyone in the area do try Lou's sushi at 28th and P St. Great little... More

I was travelling alone on business--but would definitely bring that special someone along on the next trip. Gorgeous place! When visting Sacramento you will never settle for a chain hotel again after staying at the Amber House B&B! Staff is great! From serving you a 2 course breakfast, to turning down your bed (with chocolate chip cookes), to the gorgeous... More

In early March 2015 I stayed again at Amber House. This was roughly my 10th visit and even with a change in ownership, the B & B is still run exceptionally. The room I stayed in (Beethoven) was clean and spacious, the coffee great, and the food delicious. I'm glad freshly baked cookies are still offered in the evening and... More

While on business in Sacramento, I spent one night at the Amber House bed and breakfast. It was a complete delight. Great location. Lovely appointments. Quiet location. Wonderful, flexible, attentive service. Delicious breakfast. Highly recommended.

My husband got us a room in Mozart 14 for Christmas. We had not been away alone together for 3 years! It was wonderful staying there! I really appreciated our check in. They sit you down and ask you your preferences on turn down, cookies, drinks and food and offer to assist with your activities in town. The place is... More

This house is wonderfully appointed. Much attention went into selecting just the right furniture, lamps, books, accoutrements. I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood to stretch my legs after a long drive and seeing grand old homes and so many camellias!) Mine was just a quick over night business trip. I definitely want to return with my husband for a longer... More

This is my and my boyfriend's second stay at Amber House and it's been great both times. Even with my few quibbles, I would completely recommend it. PROS: Heart-shaped jacuzzi! You can tell my favorite feature (my boyfriend's too). I've only stayed in the two rooms that have this. Of those two I like the Mozart the best. Great service.... More

Thank you so much for the overall positive review, I am very happy your two stays with us were all in all positive. I would like to address two of your concerns - Granola and the table in Mozart. I will start with the granola, I-Dan am the Inn Keeper who checked you in, I take full responsibility for not... More

My husband and I recently enjoyed a 1-night stay at Amber House. We are from the northeast and had headed to the area to escape from the piles of snow for a few days. We felt pampered at Amber House with freshly baked cookies in the evening, coffee delivered to our door in the morning, and a wonderful 2-course breakfast... More

We stayed here for our 13th yr anniversary and coincidentally in room 13 Beethoven. Location is awesome since there are so many places to eat and drink within walking distance. The breakfast was delicious. Free fresh baked cookies and and brandy...you can't beat that. And the service was awesome! Definitely coming back
