We booked a last minute one night stay (midweek, off-season) using an offer on the website, which seemed very reasonable. When we arrived the incredibly friendly staff upgraded us to their largest suite as they had empty rooms. The room was HUGE and stunning, and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. They provided glasses and... more

The Rancho Caymus is a great place to stay when you are looking for a 'headquarters' in the Wine Country. Away from the madding crowds, but still convenient and central. The rooms are all in Spanish Colonial style...the favourite features are the adobe walls and fireplaces: very rustic and warm feel to the rooms. The furnishings, in keeping with the... more

I found Rancho Caymus to be a great location and jumping off point for exploring Napa Valley. For Napa prices, its a pretty good value because you can certainly spend a lot more. Given that, I did not go in expecting it to be a 5 star resort. The desk staff was nice and helpful. Its definitely got the rustic,... more

My wife and I were surprised at how large and comfortable the rooms were. Very nice. Also, great proximity to several vineyards. Not sure why, but google maps has the wrong location for the hotel. It's actually in Rutherford, right at the intersection of 29 & 128. The hotel had an arrangement with a couple vineyards (Beaulieu Vineyards, Elizabeth Spencer),... more

We stayed there in early October last Fall (oddly, at apparently the same time as someone else from St. Louis, just two reviews down). We would echo much of the comments in the next two reviews below ours. We had a very large room (suite size, really) -- nicely appointed with a cathedral beam ceiling, in a quiet corner away... more

I stayed at Rancho Caymus for a business trip the first week of November. From the moment I called the hotel until the moment I checked out, the service was fantastic - especially Nydia. They accommodated all our requests (and there were many) with a smile and "no problem" attitude. The room was spacious and charming, especially the fireplace. In... more

Rancho Caymus would be a great find if its prices were 2/3 less than they are. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with spectacular beams. Service was incredibly fast when we reported a light that was out. But: Views are of parking lots...don't let the inn's name fool you, this is an in-town establishment. Bathroom was tiny, and decor is... more

We chose this accommodation as we wanted to visit Frog's Leap Winery ( a must for Napa visitors) Check in went smoothly and the verdant greenary in the Inn's quad was nice - relaxing area. Our room was right beside the ice maker - despite asking specifically not to be near it. Also the noise from water running in showers... more

We just returned this July to Rancho Caymus. As we approached the front desk to check in, we were greeted by name. Pretty impressive since it was only our 2nd stay! The whole office staff here is a definate credit to the property. We had another couple traveling with us this trip, and they were equally impressed by the charm... more

This hotel has a lot of great history to it and has beautiful features which include a gorgeous courtyard, nice patios surrounded by fragrant honeysuckle. There was complimentary breakfast - which included cereal, granola, pastries, hard boiled eggs, coffee, milk and juices. The hotel staff were very nice and gave us passes to some of the local tasting rooms -... more
