Hard traveling, long hours on the road, found me crossing the Sacramento River, into a little Delta town called Rio Vista, which sits right on the waters edge. Hard rains, bad condituions ,i decided to stay at the Rio Sands.Charming ,modest and clean. It also happens to be the only place a traveler can stay in the town, now.

You responded to my complaint about the horrible room. Complaining to your staff about the horrible carpet would not serve any purpose. They didn't have any other rooms and it's not like they could put in new carpet. Maybe you should clean the carpets. Second there was no breakfast. I specially asked and was told there is no breakfast of... More

On our road trip my wife and I happened upon this little gem of a place. We stayed two nights and we were centrally located to all of the cities sites and restaurants. The river and bridge is within walking distance. Great value and great place to stay.

Overoriced for what you get. Bathroom - shower let more water go on floor than down the drain- could not close door, leaked. Beds made you roll into middle. Noisy near highway. Reception had a smell. Attendant did not offer any sugestions for dinner. Luckily we chanced on Foster Bighorn tavern - a gem in a litte town. Room not... More

For quite some time my Husband and I wanted to take a weekend fishing trip to Rio Vista and stay at the Rio Sands Lodge. In November 2012 we decided this is what we'd do for our 31st Wedding Anniversary. The office staff was very helpful and friendly; we even sent an email with a question and they responded promptly.... More

The website online is pictures probably when it was first built. It is gross and disgusting. I was there to spend 11 days. I was there for work. I only stayed 3 days and that was hard. The first room I was in was so dirty. The floor was so gross. There was hair everywhere. The bathroom was nasty. The... More

Looks can be deceiving. Clean and quiet on the outside and well maintained yard area. The first clue for our stay should have been the scent of the office. The smell of cat urine. If we hadn't been driving all day we would have gone some place else. The cleanliness of the rooms was very unacceptable. When we first entered... More

Room (#4) was clean, bed (king) very comfortable for us. We started out in #5, but upstairs had small, active, yippy/squalling (I kid you not!) dogs that got yelled at over blaring TV. We are fairly tolerant, but this just wasn't going to work. The young couple managing the place didn't give any trouble when we asked to be moved.... More

My wife &I stayed in room 6,our frends were in rooms 5&3. Room 6 water closet was completely out of service. our friends in room 3 water closet was dangerous because it was not bolted down properly. We had to pay for ice and there were no other services. We tried to contact management but there was no one around... More

We apologize for any discomfort you had. The front desk was unaware of any problems with the toilets, and both toilets have been replaced since your stay on Saturday. Also, While the Ice machine does take quarters to run, the tray to collect quarters has been removed, allowing you your quarter back. That night/morning the front desk was open until... More
