This hotel has been purchased by Clarion. They are undergoing renovations while still renting out rooms. I have to say that as outdated as the Carriage Inn was, I miss the cleanliness of the Carriage Inn of old. This Clarion is a disaster. I realize they are renovating, but there are just too many things wrong for me to remain... More

First of the reservation was lost, price was different. Room is very old, white bedding is so old and yellow, the towels are nice and white. The walls are filthy with smudges and stains. There is one bar of soap, 2 make up remover towelettes, and an envelope of shampoo. So much for luxury amenities! . The clerk gave us... More

I didn't make the reservation to stay here, but I had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and very non-corporate looking -- i.e., kind of worn blue carpet and a wooden cabinet to hold the old TV. But it was actually quite a comfortable room - no complaints. The people working at the hotel were uniformly very friendly and... More

We have been coming to the Carriage Inn for 6 years now. They are old but finally now redoing the rooms. We had one of the new 2 room suites. They took adjoining rooms and made one a living room. Wow. It Is really nice to have two full bathrooms. Enjoyed the stay. Maybe next year the rooms patio will... More

I was told when I booked the hotel that the pool was heated. We stayed for 11 days in December and the pool was dirty and never heated, it was ice cold. We never used the hot tub because it was dirty. I used the gym once, it needs some updating. The treadmill worked and I used some free weights.... More

As a Marriott Rewards Member, I am not accustomed to staying on non-Marriott properties. However when on travel for work to China Lake, staying at the Spring Hill Suites is not an option due to price. In my opinion, the Carriage Inn is a good alternative. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is EXCELLENT! The hotel is a motor inn... More

Good breakfast, comfortable bed. Good customer service, staff was able to answer questions about the area and were all very friendly. However, this hotel is outdated and dirty! Outdated would normally not bother me, but the dirt build up around where the walls meet the carpet, around the floor under the bed, on rarely touched surfaces, dirty patches in the... More

We stayed for a vacation stay while I showed my wife the town (I grew up here) and explored the many other places to see in the area (Lone Pine and points in between, the Pinnacles, Randsburg, the China Lake Museum, etc.). As always, the room was comfortable and everything worked the way it should. We appreciated the included breakfast... More

One of the less expensive of the nicer hotels in Ridgecrest. We got a suite for three for under 90 bucks after tax and that included a wonderful free breakfast! Desk help was professional and more than accommodating. They even took the time to help me research where I could purchase a piece of equipment that I needed to purchase... More

Stayed here on a business trip. The rooms are large and comfortable, and have refrigerators and microwave ovens. The rooms are in bad need of updating but are well cared for. The one complaint is the shower - the hot water was variable, and kept coming and going -and not just by a little bit - it was wide variations... More
