Typical Courtyard-- not a luxury resort by any means, but it's not intended to be. The hotel looked nice, was clean overall, and not a bad place to stay. Bed was quite squeaky, and the room was a little old, but okay overall. Friendly front desk.

Stayed 2 nights. No complaints re: room and building. They have bistro in lobby so no free breakfast. But gives you food opportunities during day and eve. Computers in lobby were of little use due to an interface they use.

Recently spent 3 nights at the Courtyard outside San Francisco. A friend suggested staying in Berkeley for better rates. I assumed incorrectly that it would be lacking something...you get what you pay for. The hotel was lovely. The lobby area is so inviting. The staff was very accommodating. We had a couple of meals and drinks at the bistro. Food... More

Room - very clean and happily surprised to have a huge balcony! Check in process was easy -- Disappointed the area lacked restaurants - however we ended up eating at the Bistro in the Courtyard. It was a Saturday night and unexpectedly crowded, however, Brady was wonderful. He was the only wait staff behind the bar and was the cook,... More

Ended up stranded in Richmond late one night. Checked into this hotel since there was no where else to stay. The room was comfortable and clean. Best thing about this hotel was the yummy breakfast they served in the morning! I would have felt better about the whom stay if it wasn't almost 200.00 for only 8 hours.

The WORST hotel experience in my life, costing me $165. I travel a lot, stayed at about 400 hotels nights in my life. This place is so gross and has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I arrived after a long 1100 miles trip staying at nice hotels including Mom and Pop places along the way. I got to my room and it... More

The room was decent and clean, but pretty plain and simple for the somewhat high price (~$180). I did appreciate the iron and ironing board found inside the closet and the full length mirror on the closet door, however I was surprised the room stay did not include at least a simple continental breakfast. I stayed at a Hyatt Regency... More

If you're going to California to see more than San Francisco then consider staying here. You are literally equidistant from numerous locales and attractions: 10 minutes to downtown Berkeley, 20 minutes to Oakland, 25 minutes to Sausalito, 30 minutes to San Francisco, 20 minutes to Vallejo, 30 minutes to Napa Valley. You cannot beat the location and if you're not... More

It's like other Courtyard Marriott hotels with standard amenities. But we are given a handicap" room. Though it might be spacious, the shower has problems, since water runs over the floor easily. Otherwise, it's comfortable, with free WiFi. But I think there is room for improvement.

We were in town for a nearby wedding, so we were here for several days. We had a very comfortable stay. The room was large & very quiet. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Great value. My only criticism - no safe.
