Spacious rooms that are designed for comfort and relaxation. Attentive owners and excellent chef contribute to home like feel. Convenient to main highways but in quiet residential area. Everyone very interested in sharing experiences and suggestions for local activities. more

My Husband and I stayed at the Atherton Inn in order for him to visit his doctor at Stanford. On two previous occasions we stayed in cookie cutter establishments that left us cold. What a difference staying at the Atherton made. It is just perfect. A real Inn with owners on hand to make sure everything is perfect. Don't stay... more

My wife and I live in Hong Kong and spent three weeks at the Atherton Inn as I recuperated from hip surgery. Innkeepers Tricia and Jim were wonderfully friendly and supportive and could not have been more helpful. We saw them similarly accommodating to all guests. The rooms and facilities are first-rate: spacious with comfortable beds and all amenities. We... more

We chose the Atherton because we wanted somewhere close to where our daugther was working and somewhere that was more warm and friendly than large chain hotels.Wow what a good choice. The owners and staff not only made us feel welcome but invited us to see the Inn as our temporary home from home. The rooms were very clean, well... more

My Husband and I were going to be visiting Northern California to explore the coast. At first we planned to stay a few nights in San Francisco, a few in Monterey and back to San Francisco. Each place had great reviews on Trip Advisor but I was not really happy with the places I choose. I was talking to my... more

I have always like those cosy B&B when travelling in England and wanted to find the same experience while visiting Stanford University Palo Alto. Found Atherton Inn B&B in the internet, read all the great review and decided to book for a nite. The house and rooms are very nice, exactly what is shown in the photo posted on the... more

We stayed at the Atherton Inn during a business trip to Menlo Park. It is a lovely inn with a cozy, friendly and congenial feel. It is nestled in a quiet residential area; however, it is easily accessible to the El Camino Real, Palo Alto, and the 101. We stayed in the Zinfandel Room that has a fabulous balcony for... more

My husband and I stayed here for one night two weeks ago. It was close to my in-laws and a good starting point for our vacation up the California coast. We would have been happy to stay longer. The rooms were very large and very well appointed. Same for the bathrooms (a double sink a plus for us!). Luxurious. Breakfast... more

We planned to visit the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford, and also Filoli Gardens in Woodside, so rather than make the 2+ hr. drive back home the same day, we decided to stay the night. The Atherton Inn offers a very nice alternative to staying at a hotel in this area close to Stanford University. The campus is a convenient... more

We stayed from January 17-19, 2006. You walk into the lobby and you realize your stay is going to be amazing! We stayed in the Cabernet room. A huge comfy king size bed, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and balcony. The Atherton Inn is located in a quiet residential area. We slept very well at this B&B. As for the second B,... more
