We arrived on Saturday night around sunset and were delighted, not only by the lovely marina surroundings, but by the beautiful hotel. I used to stay at the Ritz Carleton,Marina del Rey but now will only stay at the Portofino! This is a really nice hotel with incredible staff who go out of their way to be pleasant and helpful to their guests. Really pretty, comfortable hotel. We were upgraded to ocean front which had a nice balcony with quiet peaceful view. Unfortunately we had a screaming fighting couple next door who were very loud at midnight. We let the front desk know, as we were concerned for his or her safety. The hotel is located in a very nice area around the marinas. Rooms with two doubles are much smallers than king rooms. The reception is very nice and my only complain was the breakfast serve in a different place. Save your money and go to another place for breakfast, service is also poor apart from the food...Very nice pool area. More
