After reading some of the previous reviews I figure I must gotten one of the better rooms. It was clean and the wi-fi worked fine. Towels were skimpy, but not a big deal for me. The biggest problem I had with the room was the TV Cable selection - only 25 channels and no ESPN, CNN or Fox News. Just... More

It's anything BUT a deal. I travel a lot, put many reviews for hotels on here.....this one takes the Prize! Prize for run down and they are not putting money or labor into it. The desk clerk on duty 8-15-13, has to be a Saint. She was running from room to room trying to hand out missing towels, repair minor... More

We have never really stayed in one of these rooms, however we would never attempt it. We operated our security company protecting this site. It was our duties to report safety issues as well as prevention of illegal room entry. During our 1 1/2 years performing duties on this property our reports of unsanitary conditions, safety hazards, inappropriate employee actions,... More

I've stayed at Vagabond in OC and had great experiences so I thought this one would be similar. WRONG!!!! They rooms reeked like mold and cigarettes, door handles broken in bathroom, rust, peeling paint, filthy carpets. They were GROSS. I mean it seriously looked liked an abandoned haunted hotel. It was 90 degrees outside and 90 in the room. No... More

The service and rooms are much worse than before! - The curtains had holes in them, the room smelled kind of weird, the ice machine was out of order and the pool was broken..they did however have a soda machine..but it only would spit out Dr. Pepper..no matter what soda you choose. I've been this hotel before the name change... More

My partner said, "Well it could have been worse, at least we didn't catch anything." I guess we should have been tipped off when they told us they no longer recognized the Vagabond Inn 10th night free loyalty program...wouldn't give us a sticker for our card. The breakfast consisted of a donut and dreadful coffee. They refused to give us... More

I read the other reviews, however; I didn't find it awful. I have stayed at worse places, but for $49 it is nothing special. I didn't eat the food. There is a Denny's in the parking lot. Everything worked, and was clean - not super clean, but suitable. I probably wouldn't stay again. I think I would spend a little... More

Don't be lured in by the low price and average looking exterior. What awaits inside is a dirty, smelly and hot room. Honestly, other than the price there is nothing good to say. Breakfast was awful coffee that we had to throw out and old looking donuts that I refused to touch.

We were on our way home from visiting the redwoods and had decided beforehand to sleep in Redding on our way home to Utah. We found the Vagabond Inn on a travel web site for a rate that we could afford and booked the reservation. We were running late in our traveling and finally pulled in at about 2am. I... More
