My 17 yr old son and I stayed for 3 nights due to power being out at our house. We had a room farthest from the front of the hotel, near the Mexican restaurant. was a decent room, not the most comfortable beds, but they were ok. Good location, lot of restaurants nearby, including Dutch brothers and Starbucks, all within... More

This property shows pride in ownership. The rooms are very clean, the breakfast is ok. Great location for places to eat within walking distance. Would recommend it as a good place to stay. Plus they allow pets.

Pleasantly amazed at all the perks of this hotel! Very clean, everything was new in the rooms, pool was clean, free internet, coffee makers, fridge, microwave,a/c, flat screen tv, free continental breakfast. Staff was very welcoming, thoughtful & pleasant. Met all our needs for an overnight stay. Would definately stay again, and longer!

We were just looking for an overnight spot on the way to Cresent City. We got there about midnite and the desk agent was super nice. Got the check in handled quickly and with no problem. The room was clean and comfy. Nothing fancy, but had a fridge and microwave and it was quiet. The wifi was free and fast,... More

The A/C not being turned on until shortly before our 100-degree day arrival meant an uncomfortable room for quite some time. Couple that with dark and in no way cheery décor and the our better choice would have been to spend a few dollars more for something a bit more accommodating.

This is a clean, recently remodeled hotel. Our room had the minimum of amenities, but had the advertised fridge & microwave, so we were plenty comfortable. Hotel is located near the old downtown area and is a little confusing to navigate due to one-way streets all around. The management was friendly and helpful, pointed out several restaurants either across the... More

Thunderbird Lodge is a motel that is centrally located in downtown Redding. It's a quick hop to the Sundial Bride and the highways. Rooms are clean with fridge and flat screen TVs. There is free wifi. Staff seems attentive to the establishment and it feels safe. You can find nicer places in Redding but they will cost you twice as... More

With its cool retro-esque motel sign, you'd think this place would be decorated in accord with that style, but not really. It is a basic motel with some interior retro-esque finishes. It was alright overall and a decent deal on price. It was close to the Sundial Bridge and "downtown". I did hear the train go by twice in the... More

On a recent car trip to the Pacific Northwest we stayed at the recently remodeled Thunderbird Lodge in Redding. This region of the country can get very hot and uncomfortable in the summer months, so we were grateful for efficiently operating air conditioning. The hotel is conveniently located near the center of this small California city which made it relatively... More

If you're looking for a place to stay for a low price, you get what you pay for. AC unit was very loud, coming from someone who can sleep through a great deal of noise. However, it was either that or sleep in a hot room. Found the bed really hard with uncomfortable pillows. Other than that, the room was... More
