Our family and 4 kids (ages 6, 8, 10, and 13) have absolutely loved our past 3 trips to Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch! The kids all definitely want to go back again next summer (2016). We have been to Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch twice for one-week summer family vacations and once for a long weekend in the Fall because we... More

This was our 12th annual week at Greenhorn. We love being in the Sierra foothills for a week away from city life. The owners and staff are warm and welcoming; the wranglers are expert horse riders and teachers; the kitchen staff provide great food. It is a wonderful place to kick back and relax.

I've been to many ranches in the States and all over Europe and this was one of the best places ever! If you love horses, cowboys, rustic country athmosphere, singing and dancing, this is definitely The Place to go. I went with a friend and we chose to go outside of high season, for our main focus was on horseback... More

I recently visited the greenhorn creek guest ranch for a wedding and have to say it was an amazing time. The staff and owners were always there to help in any way to make the stay and experience pleasurable. They have a beautiful ranch with lots of activities for kids to adults such as fishing, horse back riding, quads, hiking... More

After being at Greenhorn Ranch in 2013 we (2 adults, 1 teenager) needed to come back this year. For us it is an 11 hour flight from Germany, but it was worth every minute. Here is what you can expect: - A beautiful, well maintained ranch, located in a place of breathtaking beauty. - Friendly, helpful and competent staff. -... More

We went for our third year in a row a few weeks ago and have our next year's visit already scheduled. Such an amazing vacation! This ranch is so beautiful and relaxing and my whole family loves it --mom, dad, 2 daughters (19 and 17 years old). The riding trails are gorgeous as well. The staff is so welcoming and... More

The Good stuff: • All staff was super friendly and helpful. • This is a breath-taking setting with lots of room to roam. • A rustic adventure not a 5 star hotel. It’s a Dude Ranch; so don’t go in with expectations more than a step above camping. The ruggedness is part of the experience. • They take good care... More

I love the dude ranch because they have great wranglers and fantastic horses. It's a great place to go for vacation and great for kids. There are four levels of riding [walk, walk/trot, lope, and kids ride]. The ranch has swimming, fishing, riding horses, skeet shooting, karaoke, bonfire, cook out and a other fun activities. For the little kids they have a kiddie corral. This is the best dude... More

we had the most wonderful 4 days at greenhorn. The staff are really what makes this all very special. So friendly and it's wonderful to interact with everyone at meal times. The wranglers go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The food is good and plentiful. We loved the shared table meal times. The horses are wonderful... More

We were looking for somewhere to go on our Californian road trip and I found this place. We were driving from San Francisco and looked to be about a 4.5 hours drive. When we arrived, the first thing that struck me was how picturesque it is, nestled in the mountains. It took my breath away. We stayed in a 2... More
