My wife and I spent a week there in October 2014. Our Room was exactly what we expected to find in Quincy. It was clean comfortable and provided all we needed for our stay. The owners and staff couldn't have been any nicer. Would recommend this place to anyone. It's not the Marriot, but it's what you would expect in... More

This property was a surprisingly nice find. It was clean and comfortable and seemed to be well run. It's in East Quincy so it's a couple of miles to the main part of town. That's where the majority of eating establishments are.

We spent two nights here this month and really enjoyed it. The place brings back the feeling of the 50s and 60s but has more modern amenities inside the rooms. Even though the hotel is off the main road that runs into Quincy, it is quiet and peaceful; just taking a stroll around the grounds and listening to the brook... More

No, it's not brand new, but it is quaint and clean and it totally met our family's needs with 2 bedrooms, 4 beds and a kitchen (room 13). I am usually pretty picky with hotel rooms and although it is an older hotel, when we walked in I had a good feel and could tell it was clean. It had... More

Great potential; just needs a grounds cleanup and raking. Room was totally redone. Kind of like the old motor court feel. A lot of TLC needed but we'll definetly will be back. Maybe on a few acres of land.

This is our idea of a wonderful, non corporate, family run motel. We stayed here years ago and see that the new owners have worked hard to revitalize this classic, unique motel. We stayed in #8 which is the older section, no air conditioning but with a front door and a sliding glass door we had a wonderful breeze. The... More

My husband and I stayed at the Ranchito Motel this past week. I am pretty picky about where I stay; having been in the hospitality industry for 7 years, I know that one place can have many different review's depending on the folks themselves reviewing. However, the Ranchito looked pretty unique on-line and I am always willing to try a... More

Thank you so much for your review. In the few years we have been here we have been upgrading as we can while keeping that funky charm you eloquently wrote about. Regarding the garden comment, no we don't have botanical gardens, lol, and after the drought we do plan to improve the grounds we have. We love your comments, so... More

My wife and I stayed at the Ranchito Motel on May 30. 2014 and were quite satisfied. The management and staff are quite friendly and professional and the room was well appointed, clean, airy, and I even found TCM on their televison menu! The babbling brook is restful and the trees provide a cool area for visiting and resting. It... More

This old-fashioned western-style motor court is kitschy to say the least. And, yes, there really is a babbling brook that runs through the middle of the forested property. A nice feature if you're sitting outside. Rooms have been upgraded to include flat-screen TVs, microwave, coffeemaker and fridge. Soft goods -- bedding and covers -- have also been updated and are... Thank you for your kind review! We have been putting a lot of work into upgrading the rooms and appreciate your positive feedback. Our next goal is to upgrade the gardens but that got put on hold due to the drought. Hopefully in 2015! More

There are two wings...the older, Adobe-themed classic rooms straight from the 40's and a newer, more isolated section (larger beds). The staff was nice enough to make changes at the last minute (in a pinch). The accommodation in the older section was clean and pleasant. This is not a four star hotel but, then again, neither are the prices. The... More
