As others have pointed out, I did not know that the Navy Lodge was listed for reviews on TripAdvisor, until just tonight, as I was Googling. We have stayed here five times over the past three years, doing some post-graduate studies in Camarillo. While not the most up-to-date or chic accommodations (some rooms definitely need renovation, as CraiginSD points out),... More

The rooms are huge with stove and refrigerator. The lodge is close to downtown - convenient to local California attractions - can' beat the price. Recommend the Seabee museum on the base. We're planning on staying again.

I have stayed in three other NGIS facilities and have been well pleased with the price and accommodations. Not so here. For $58 we had a tiny room that is old and in desperate need of remodeling. I have stayed in discount hotels that were better deals and better maintained. The bed was a double which was not comfortable for... More

The kids and I decided to travel with Husband who was on TDY orders. While I requested largest room possible, an effeciency was all they could accomodate based on other occupants who were PCSing. Oh well, we made the best of it. In the room you will find a small kitchenette area with a coffee maker, a mid-sized microwave and... More

Having the ability to use this facility is a plus. Not everyone has access to this service. I booked this lodging based on a recommendation from a friend, and she was right. Awesome deal, the location is excellent and everything is nearby. We have family in Oxnard so staying here for the first time made us wonder why we never... More

My husband and I traveled to visit family in the Oxnard area and stayed at the Port Hueneme Navy Lodge. Our room was spacious, super clean, and well kept. We stayed a total of twelve days, great value in an expensive area. We never had to call the front desk to replenish soap, shampoo, etc. The housekeeping staff was efficient... More

Understanding that most people can't use the Navy Lodge system, if you can use it, you might want to skip this property. The main building that we stayed in was old, outdated, and in need of major renovation (or outright replacement). This Navy Lodge just doesn't live up to their normal standards, IMO. Great staff, I'm quick to point out... More
