While we did not know what to expect, we were all very please with our visit to East Brother Light Station B&B. We travelled to the private marina as directed and were picked up there by our hosts Stephanie and Brian and driven by boat to the island. Our stay there one night was spectacular. Our hosts were very informative... More

Every moment of our stay at East Brother Light Station was spectacular. Brian and Stephanie picked us up at the launch promptly at 4:00 p.m. The ride over to the 'rock' was really fun and our hosts were delightful. Our room in the Victorian House/Lighthouse was the San Francisco room. We had a view of the city. Stephanie prepared lovely... More

The East Brother Light Station is a gem in between the San Francisco Bay and San Pablo Bay. It's a great b and b hidden and private only because of its location, a tiny island in the middle of the bays. You have to take a quick boat ride to get there and then you are there until the boat... More

We enjoyed our day on the island. It had great views of the Golden Gate bridge and the history was interesting. I was satisfied with the amount of time we spent. If you plan to spend the night make sure you bring something to do. The boat ride over wasn't rough and they can actually life the boat up out... More

Having lived in the Bay Area for more than 15 years, I just recently learned about this place. How can that be? This hidden gem is a one-of-a-kind experience especially if you love history, or lighthouses, or water. Expect an adventure, and pack in a backpack- it's easier to climb onto the island with it. You don't need to look... More

Read other reviews of the yacht club / drive / etc. Everyone is correct - Stephanie and Bryan were the best hosts you could ask for - need ANYTHING and they are there. But be careful, if they ask "do you need more wine?" - they will keep pouring as long as you are still able to drink. The up... More

We've stayed in many b&b's and the view out our room's window( Marin room) was one of the best ever. Bryan and Stephanie treated us like old friends. Their love of the island, the lighthouse and its history, and the nearby community was ever so obvious. Just a note. Please don't be concerned about the road to the boat launch... More

Absolutely fabulous....the setting, history, and most of all the innkeepers, Bryan & Stephanie. They are a fabulous couple with lots of energy and a commitment to serve you well. They are genuine people. Stephanie is Chef Extraordinaire with her preparation of fine cuisine for dinner and breakfast. I'm a photography enthusiast so I really enjoyed the views from the island... How often do you get to stay in a lighthouse? How often do you get to stay in (not on) San Francisco Bay? How about both??? The fun started with the winding drive to Point Molate near Richmond. As we parked, we were met by a friendly local pooch, who led us to the friendly harbor master, who pointed out... More

Staying here was one of the few times in your life you are completely surprised by your surroundings. Everything about it was fantastic. A beautiful location steeped in history, the food was amazing and even wildlife shows up to enhance your stay. From sea lions to Canadian geese, the short boat ride out there tends to redefine staying with the... More
