How often do you have an opportunity to stay in a lightstation and hear a traditional fog horn in action, while staying in a restored Victorian B&B? Truly a wonderful experience and would recommend it to anyone who has even a slight interest in lighthouses and enjoys the intimacy of a B&B.

Just returned from a 21 hour adventure at the Light Station. Good for: (a) Photo buffs - Victorian architecture and hardware detail, sea birds in flight and bay crossing tugs and tankers (b) learning light house history ---includes books and Light keeper logs, a working diaphone, a morning talk on the different types of equipment used for producing the actual... We had a great night at the East Brothers Light House. THe new keepers Bryan and Stephanie are gracious hosts - the EB committee are very lucky to have been able to recruit such lovely and talented people to manage the light house! The food and wine was excellent and the experience is definately worth the costs. Well Done to... More

As a lighthouse buff we were eager to have the experience of actually spending the night in one. We traveled across the country for this one and we were not disappointed! The keepers are wonderful hosts, the food is very good. Meeting other couples makes for delightful conversation. Visitors can roam the facility, the grounds, relax, read, converse...peaceful. A highlight... More

This was a wonderful experience. It is a bed and breakfast with historical significance. Since you are on a small little island in the bay, you have no choice but to slow down, relax and enjoy the view. The husband and wife team who ran the place were terrific. The husband was the boat captain for our short trip to... More

Although rather pricey for a nice, but not special room this place is worth going to if for nothing else the unique experience of staying on a small island with a light station and B & B on it. Start out with an interesting drive to the pier then a small boat ride to the island. Soon you will get... More

We went to the island in early 2013 to discuss arrangements for our intimate wedding there (this site does not allow us to input a correct date). We were extremely upset to find later that the new "light keepers" were actually not fully prepared to proceed, leaving us unable to find another venue that could accommodate the date we had... More

Awesome is an understatement. Hidden gem. Victorian B&B Lighthouse on a rock in the middle of the bay looking onto San Fran at night. Ferry out for dinner, sunset, & more. Much more social than most B&Bs with the 4 couples sharing dinner and breakfast together at the large table, meeting new people was half the fun. Working the light... More

My Husband and I stayed at this LIght house a few weeks ago and it was just amazing! We were picked up by a boat and taken to the little island. We then had champagne and appetizers with 8 other very nice people we met. at 6:30 we had a gourmet sit down dinner with all of us together and... More

We stayed there for one night and it was fabulous! The dinner was scrumptious and the camaraderie among the five couples was great. Jude and Richard are outstanding hosts - we will be sure to tell everyone back home in Miami what a gem this place is!!
