We just returned from a wonderful weekend stay in the Ridge View suite. The Black Heron Inn is in a beautiful location just a short drive from Point Reyes Station. There is a deck outside the room that overlooks an open area where we saw lots of birds, deer, and a coyote. Continental breakfast of homemade bread, orange juice, milk,... More

We went to this inn on a spur of the moment decision to beat the heat of the Central Valkey and head to the coast. Tucked back in the hills about 1.5 miles from Pt. Reyes Station, the Black Heron is a lovely retreat. We were in the Ridge View Suite: clean, spacious and lots of electrical outlets for ones... More

Black Heron Inn is beautifully situated. Our room (the Ridge room) was very comfortable, and had plenty of space. The view was lovely. The food provided for breakfast was tasty and we loved having the independence to eat when and how we wanted.

While visiting the Point Reyes Seashore, we stayed at the Black Heron. What an absolutely wonderful place. It is in a fairly remote location down some windy roads, but well worth the effort to get there. Once you do, it is a very peaceful, quiet b&b, with excellent views of the bay and rolling hills. The room was very spacious... More

We spent the weekend at the Black Heron. You just can't beat the view. And the hospitality of the innkeepers was thoughtful and generous. Delicious banana bread and blueberry bread left for two breakfasts, along with juice, fruit, cereal and milk. There are only a few rooms -- we were in the Grande Suite on the second floor. Enjoyed looking... More

Our room at this remote b&b was simple but lovely with a basic bed, small bathroom and small kitchenette. It came equipped with pretty good coffee and good wi-fi. The best parts by far were the deck, the gorgeous views and the delicious snacks, including the homemade banana bread.

The Black Heron Inn provided everything we wanted. A great view, a relaxing environment, proximity to Point Reyes, a spacious room, and privacy. They even provided a gluten-free breakfast for my wife.

This is a self check-in inn a few miles off Hwy 1. While there is easy access from the highway, it still feels like you're out in the country. We stayed in the Ridge View room. The bed was firm and comfortable. There were robes in our room & also an iron and table-top ironing board. There was a bathroom... More

This was our second visit to the Black Heron Inn. Once again we loved it. The two of us alone sitting on the deck looking out at the Tomales Bay Inverness, an expansive, wide view of green rolling meadow with the bay at a distance. Later a hike over the stile took me to more expansive, green, refreshing, rolling land.... More

Tucked away in a remote part of the world, just an hour north of San Francisco, is the Black Heron Inn, located on Tomales Bay in Point Reyes Station, Ca. Just the drive alone makes it worthwhile going to this breathtaking spot. The inn has three rooms, two downstairs and one big one upstairs, which would be good for a... More
