We spent two serene nights at the Black Heron Inn, while exploring the Point Reyes National Seashore. Amazing solitude 30 ,lies out of San Francisco's frenetic pace. And a beautiful drive from the city to Point Reyes Station, and from PRS into the Point Reyes Narional Seashore. If you go, try to drive to both the lighthouse at the south... More

We stayed in the Grand View Suite and what a treat !! The view of the grasslands with cows grazing and of Tomales Bay in the not too far distance was so peaceful. We spent the late afternoon on the enormous private deck attached to this suite enjoying the amazing view. The chairs in the living room were very comfortable... More

We just had a wonderful two night stay at the Black Heron Inn in Pt. Reyes Station, Ca. Our room was lovely with a great view of Tomales Bay. The room was very clean. The food that was included with the room was great, especially the home made baked bread/cakes and the granola. We definitely plan on returning to this... More

I've never stayed at a self-service inn before. The innkeepers left us food for breakfast and restocked it when we requested. We were in Point Reyes for a wedding but turned it into a 5 day vacation. The Inn is located in walking distance (20 minutes) of Point Reyes Station where you can find restaurants, stores and a supermarket. The... More

This was a fantastic retreat from urban life and only and hour from SF. Amazing views from the rooms and outdoor decks and immediate access to hiking trails in Pt. Reyes National Seashore. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Some reviewers have said the rooms are "dated," but everything is in excellent shape and very clean. The rooms are furnished in a... More

I just came back from a two night stay on the top floor of the Black Heron Inn. I was impressed enough that it caused me to write my first Tripadvisor review! The property is lovely and peaceful. Views abound and trails start from the parking lot. The owners were away, but our hostess was also an innkeeper and knew... More

We stayed with my husband at the Grand Suite View and were very pleasantly surprised. The view is indeed awesone and the suite itself very spacious. I really liked the nice touch of having some basic stuff in the fridge for breakfast (but for European visitors would be nicer to have fresh bread and jam/butter than a tea or coffee... More

First of all, one needs to know that address 51 comes AFTER 61, not before. That makes finding the place much simpler. The view is fabulous. The atmosphere is fabulous. The banana nutbread is fabulous. Owner is friendly and accommodating. This is a great place for a short vacation.

I recently spent three days at Black Heron Inn and found it a good experience. I stayed in the Bay View Room which was clean and ready to occupy. Fresh fruit, loaves of fresh bread and continental breakfast items provided a start to the day and snacks along the way. The view was soothing, the nights silent and dark. I... More

We stayed at the Black Heron Inn two nights. When we woke up the first morning, we saw a green heron at the pond without having to step out the door. The Inn was comfortable, quiet and had an incredible view. The innkeepers provided us with soy mile and gluten free cookies for breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the... More
