I chose this location because I heard there was no wifi nor cell signal and I really wanted to go offgrid. I arrived and found that they had one internet station for pay that was so uber slow that it might as well be nonexistent so for all intents and purposes I was offgrid. The hostel itself is interesting being... More

Our multi generational group of 25 had a wonderful weekend vacation at this amazing hostel. With comfy bunk beds and a fully equip kitchen it was a delight to be at the Pt Reyes hostel. The host was friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and had a good time. The wildflower... More

Happy to hear you all had a good visit to Point Reyes! Please come again! P.S. I got this from the internet, not sure if it's true, but sounds plausible: "Every year ladybugs travel up north a little ways [just north of San Francisco] and hiberate for the winter. When Spring comes and things warm up again they fly into... More

We (8 of us) had a great time running and hiking. The location offers so many options within a short distance. We even managed a bonfire at the beach. The facility is excellent -- clean, well-run and well-equipped, with a very nice staff. Plenty of outdoor places to sit, eat and enjoy nature. Definitely a repeat location,\; you won't be... More

We three women of a certain age and one adult daughter spent last Sunday night at the hostel. For the price it can't be beat! It is clean, well run, and in the beautiful Pt. Reyes National Seashore. No alcohol allowed perhaps explains the lack of younger, louder guests. We stayed in the 10 person dorm (5 bunk beds) for... More

I'd been to the Point Reyes National Park before and wanted more time to explore more. This was a good place to do it from. The park itself is phenomenal!! I'm glad I took the time to enjoy all it has to offer. The hostel is quite remote and inaccessible without a car as public transport stops about 6-7 miles... More

Located in the secluded Point Reyes National Seashore- this is my weekend getaway retreat- quiet and peaceful with hiking and biking trails everywhere. Clean, cozy and reasonable accommodations with a short jaunt to the beach.

We stayed in one of the family rooms in the new building. The bathroom, which was shared between two rooms, was split into a toilet/sink room and a shower/sink room. The kitchen was shared between six rooms. Everything was very clean and relatively new. We had great neighbors and had no trouble sharing space. This place is quite remote, so... More

We stayed in a private room over the past weekend. We had a great experience. I guess the only thing that would have been better would be if the beds were more comfortable. The private rooms are set up really well so you don't get much noise from other rooms. Only share the bathroom with one other room so no... More

I absolutely love staying at the hostel in Point Reyes National Seashore. It's very cozy and clean and in a phenomenal location. The staff are very helpful in giving visitors all the information they need for their adventures. We really loved seeing the lighthouse and the whales off shore. Other hostellers took advantage of a lot of the hiking trails... More

We spent a night in a private room in the new LEED certified building at the Point Reyes Hostel. Quiet, comfortable, clean. Attached kitchen was well-equipped and comfy. Main building also had a kitchen for use, but we used the one in the private room building. Main building also has a community room, though it's rather small and, though it... More
