My husband recently returned from a coastal trip from Northern California into Southern Oregon. The Wharf Master's Inn ranked as one of our favorite stays at a very reasonable price. The location is ideal for a secluded, romantic getaway. The inn is perched on seaside cliffs and many of the rooms offer wood burning fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs. The room... more

This is one place you can't miss if you are near Point Arena, California. My husband and I stayed two nights and wished we had stayed longer. The rooms are decorated with antique reproduction furniture. A wood burning fireplace was a bonus on chilly nights, along with the two person jaccuzzi tub. The silver wine bucket, wine glasses and candles... more

Located directly on the ocean, you must travel a mile down a little road directly east to find this jewel nestled near the breath-taking ocean. You must drive behind the restaurant to see the tiny hill and continue to drive up. When you arrive, you are greeted by one of a few sweet, fat, and friendly cats that reside there.... more

The view from the room was incredible - but unfortunately the room was not impressive. The linens were not as clean as I had hoped - I noticed makeup stains and stray hairs. The room smelled musty. Overall - the place needs an upgrade. It's affordable - but you could do way better up the coast. more

My wife and I wanted to get away for our anniversary so we poured over websites seeking good and affordable accommodations that had ocean views, in-room hot tubs and fireplaces. After reading reviews on Trip Advisor we decided to stay at The Wharf Master's Inn. We were so happy we did. The bed, fireplace, hot tub and ocean view were... more

We had been through a very long "high season' at work, and had been looking forward to getting away, but not too far. We live in Cloverdale, and we were waiting for harvest to be over, so we could go to the coast and check out The Wharf Masters Inn, we had heard it was very peaceful, and all of... more

The hotel was exactly what we were looking for. We had a hot tub, fireplace and balcony overlooking the ocean. There is a great pub right around the corner that serves great beer and wonderful lobster ravioli. Would DEFINTIELY recommend!!!!!!! more

We went there on our anniversary in 12/2005 and again this spring in 04/2007, both trips were wonderful & romantic. You don't need the fancy suites or the Spectacular Whitewater room. A simple room with a fireplace, jacuzzi and deck is all you need to enjoy this inn. The staff is nice, but its easy to mainly avoid them all... more

Caveat Emtour. Certain room amenities are left out in online info, paper adds and when you call. If you want the romantic & relaxing Jacuzzi tub or 4 post bed and settle for a Spectacular “Whitewater” room with "Disabilities Access" you give that up . You might be informed of this when you call. If you see an internet special... more

We enjoyed our stay at Wharf Master's Inn. The room was spacious and romantic. The fireplace was a wonderful touch. Our whirlpool failed to work the first night we were there but they had it fixed promptly. (A note about their whirlpools, they allow usage only until 10 p.m. so the noise does not bother other guests, although we never... more
