The Shenandoah Inn is a nice enough place, no major flaws, but don't go in expecting a five star. It is just outside of Plymouth and gives you good access to local wineries, which is a plus. Views out the back are nice, which is a another plus. And everything is clean and functional. Dining options in Plymouth are very... More

We have been staying here for 15 or more yrs. We like to go for a birthday, anniversary, or Valentine's Day. We only live in the next county over, but we absolutely love to come to Amador County and do some wine touring, picnicking, and relaxing quiet time. The hotel has improved 1000% since we first started coming. Especially in... More

We also stayed here on our recent wedding anniversary and could not have been happier with our choice. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good with the option of eating out on the pool deck area. The hosts/owners were really nice, helped us out with questions etc. and made us feel more... More

We stayed here for our 27th wedding anniversary--what a nice surprise this place was. The room was large, beautifully decorated, and surprisingly quiet. The inn is situated up on a little bluff so it has nice views of the surrounding area. There aren't many options in Plymouth and this was a fabulous find. At check-in we were surprised with a... First of all, know that this is a mom & pop motel. It's not a luxury resort or the Four Seasons but for what it is, it is so close to perfect for us that I can't take away a star for some very minor flaws. Located in the heart of California's Motherlode, you're surrounded by history here. More to... More

We first stayed at this hotel when operated by the former owners - not a good experience. The current owners have completely changed it - microwave, small frig, coffee, flat screen TV in every room and parking is a very short walk to your room. Pool, Spa and barbeques are great. The beds are very comfortable, I sleep very well... More

The motel sits above and a little away from the road with most rooms having a superb view of the countryside. Rooms are huge with large windows. Very comfortable bed and ample bathroom. Staff very friendly. We enjoyed the swimming pool and spa. Cont. breakfast and coffee OK but cramped when the Inn is at capacity. Only downsides: this inn,... More

My wife, children and sister stayed for three nights in the hotel, the rooms were excellent, nice pool, more than adequate buffet breakfast ( cereals, bagels, pastries, orange juice, coffee, etc). Most of all the Manageress Maria and all the staff we most helpful and pleasant. The views from the rooms were nice of the rolling countryside. Plymouth itself is... More

This is definitely the best place I have stayed in a LONG time! I would absolutely recommend this place to my best friends and family. Driving in, the first thing I noticed is how well kept the front area is. The parking lot looks like it had just been blown and the grass is all green and there was a... More

Didn't know what to expect, the online pics were good. But when we arrived, the pics didn't do it justice. the people are Great, the rooms are big and clean. The bed was perfect. The furnishings/carpet were like new. All of the rooms have a view of the countryside.
