First of all, know that this is a mom & pop motel. It's not a luxury resort or the Four Seasons but for what it is, it is so close to perfect for us that I can't take away a star for some very minor flaws. Located in the heart of California's Motherlode, you're surrounded by history here. More to... More

We first stayed at this hotel when operated by the former owners - not a good experience. The current owners have completely changed it - microwave, small frig, coffee, flat screen TV in every room and parking is a very short walk to your room. Pool, Spa and barbeques are great. The beds are very comfortable, I sleep very well... More

The motel sits above and a little away from the road with most rooms having a superb view of the countryside. Rooms are huge with large windows. Very comfortable bed and ample bathroom. Staff very friendly. We enjoyed the swimming pool and spa. Cont. breakfast and coffee OK but cramped when the Inn is at capacity. Only downsides: this inn,... More

My wife, children and sister stayed for three nights in the hotel, the rooms were excellent, nice pool, more than adequate buffet breakfast ( cereals, bagels, pastries, orange juice, coffee, etc). Most of all the Manageress Maria and all the staff we most helpful and pleasant. The views from the rooms were nice of the rolling countryside. Plymouth itself is... More

This is definitely the best place I have stayed in a LONG time! I would absolutely recommend this place to my best friends and family. Driving in, the first thing I noticed is how well kept the front area is. The parking lot looks like it had just been blown and the grass is all green and there was a... More

Didn't know what to expect, the online pics were good. But when we arrived, the pics didn't do it justice. the people are Great, the rooms are big and clean. The bed was perfect. The furnishings/carpet were like new. All of the rooms have a view of the countryside.

We unexpectedly ventured into the Shenandoah Inn this last week. Owner, Ken, greeted us with care and consideration. We spent two night at this lovely and restful destination. Couldn't have had a better experience. Large well appointed room with view of countryside. Look forward to our next visit. Thanks, Ken. Nancy and Shelley

It was quite a surprise when we pulled up to check in at the Shenandoah Inn. I am not sure what I was expecting but was pleased with what we found. The Inn is quite attractive on the outside but the real plus was when we entered our room. The room was very clean and very modern appearing, we had... More

We originally booked 5 nights, but decided to extend for 4 additional nights. Good move. Nine nights in any hotel is enough to drive me crazy. Not here. The room is clean and spacious. The view out the back window is better than any television show. Ken and Marie bent over backwards to make our stay very special. Morning coffee... More

Host Ken was incredible! Beautiful setting in quiet foothills, overlooks grassy pastures. Quiet. Peaceful. Romantic. Wineries nearby, with plenty of restaurants from which to choose. Very centrally located with many Gold Country sights to see; located near intersections of historic roadways.
