We Looked online and found thid charming and comfortable B&B, I love the rooms especially Alberta's Attic. The decore of the whole house is just a mind blower. There is so much detail everywhere you look. The room we chose had a sitting room, with comfortable wingback recliners and after a fun day of exploring its was such a comfort... more

We stayed in the spacious Lighthouse room, on the 2nd floor of this charming B&B. Our room was filled with darling antiques and collectibles. Rita, one of the owners, was friendly and helpful, and an excellent cook, to boot! This B&B is a 5-min. walk from downtown Placerville, a quaint town with great shopping, great food, and great customer service.... more

Beautifully restored home steeped in history, short walk over a foot bridge to Old Town, comfortable rooms that take you back to yesteryear, but mostly hosts that instantly make you feel like long-time friends. Add entertainment by a darling dashund named Lilly, a fantastic gourmet breakfast the next morning, interesting/friendly other guests, and you know you have picked the perfect... more

My partner and I stayed here for three nights in May as part of a week-long Amtrak/bicycling tour of Sacramento and the Gold Country. Rita and Stephanie helped us plan activities for our too-brief stay, and Rita even drove us to white water rafting one morning (since it was too far for us to cycle before our start time), then... more

Really fantastic B&B, perfect in every way. Rita and Stephanie were wonderful hosts and made us feel like friends rather than guests. The room was large and very charming, and the attentions to detail was incredible. It was clear that a lot of heart and effort went into this 1902 house. Having the privilege of spending two summer days at... more

Right in the middle of Placerville, within easy walking distance of the restaurants and shops on main street. A short hop to whitewater rafting, hiking and historic gold rush sites. Highly recommended. more

Stayed here on a local's recommendation. I was told that "there is not a better place to stay in the area". I would have to say that I agree wholeheartedly. The owners are extremely gracious and had excellent recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to eat at. The room was comfortable, large, and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was excellent -... more

We used tripadvisor ratings to select this B&B for a getaway weekend of wine tasting (and buying) and pleasurable meals. The ratings are deserved. We had been warned that the room (Gandy Dancer) could be subject to street noise, but on the quiet, rainy weekend we visited, this was not an issue. Rita was a delightful and helpful host, who... more
