I booked the GlenMorey B&B based on reviews from Trip Advisor and Hotels.com...and was unfamiliar with the area. I've never booked anything "in the blind" before i.e. without referrals from friends, relatives...not being familiar with the area etc. I have to say, we were pleasantly surprised. Aside from the fact the location was perfect...the house and our room was lovely,... More

Glen Morey comes very high on hospitality but is let down by being somewhat jaded around the edges. We were in the Edinburgh Room which whilst comfortable was rather dark and oppressive. This could really be improved by lightening the colour scheme. The over abundance of bric-a-brac could do with 'culling' as they only act as dust gatherers. This lovely... More

GlenMorey is a neat old house with all the comforts of home. Tom took great care of us, but we still felt like we had the place to ourselves. The breakfast was GREAT and would easily cost you 35 to 40 bucks for two people downtown. If you do want to go downtown, Placerville is only a 5 minute walk.... More

Gracious hospitality, a great bed and deep relaxing tub in the St. Andrews Room. We were ready for a quiet couple of nights and got that and more. The innkeepers accommodated our request for vegan breakfast and we were delighted both mornings. Ali even made yummy vegan cookies for us! Maggie served our second breakfast with real Scottish charm. Tom... More

The location of this inn couldn't be better. Quiet and surrounded by trees, and a short walk to downtown Placerville, with its historic main street full of interesting shops & restaurants. We were welcomed by Tom, who is funny and sweet and knowledgeable about the area. The room was beautiful with a marble mantle, and a day bed in addition... More

GlenMorey B&B was such a wonderful place to stay. The owners were so charming, and I got to meet the whole family! The B&B is a 5 minute walk to town where all the shops and restaurants are (I recommend Z Pie). I stayed in the St. Andrews room. My room was so nice and comfortable. The bathroom was nice... More

We had the house all to ourselves for the 1st night of our 20th Anniversary long weekend. The house is close to downtown and we had a pleasant walk in the cool crisp fall air to dinner. The room was cozy and the shower was nice & hot! My husband was thrilled there was internet. All a great way to... More

GlenMorey is a fantastic B&B...the St. Andrews room is wonderful -- comfortable, clean, furnished tastefully. Very tasty breakfast and the innkeeper Tom is a delightful host...friendly without being intrusive and knowledgeable and down to earth. We loved playing with their puppy Lucas and enjoyed relaxing on the porch. The inn is within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants on... More

This little family-owned and run Bed and Breakfast is extremely charming and very comfortable. Housing very few guests, it has the feel of a summer home. A wonderful place to go if you just want to escape the pressures and feel of the city, but not at the expense of that right-at-home feel. Tom, the primary caretaker of the house... More

A wee bit of Scotland can be found in Placerville at the GlenMorey House. Our hosts made us feel right at home with fresh brownies upon our arrival. The House is just a short walk across the skybridge to old Placerville. We were sent off each morning after a delightful breakfast and welcomed back each evening with warm brownies. This... More
