This is our 4th vacation to the Spyglass Inn. We go because they allow our dog to stay with us, the ocean view from our bed, the fireplace and the food. We eat at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner every day we are there. We have to tear ourselves away to go to lunch. The front desk staff is... More

A very nice hotel and extra nice because they take our little dog, kudos to the management for that. The room was clean the bed comfortable and the view outstanding. My only complaint was the people above us kept playing with their dog a very large dog and it was noisy to say the least. We went for a walk... More

Wonderful accomidations. Food was great in the restaurant. Our Dogs loved it too!! Beautiful beach view and beach walk. Relaxing room, wanted to just stay there and not travel on.

Our room was ready for check in upon arrival and was very clean and cute. The queen beds were super comfortable. The weather was perfect outside so I left without grabbing my jackets from the closet upon check out. I called the next day and they had been turned in & are being shipped to my house in Fresno, CA.... More

We were on hols from Australia and after staying in Los Angeles for a week we hired a car and drove up to San Francisco. We had booked a night at Syglass Inn to break the journey. We had an oceanside room with a view to die for. The rooms were great and the bar / retaurant was great as... More

We stayed in a corner room on the second floor with full ocean view. Negatives: The room smelled like a very old elementary school restroom. The "high speed" Internet was like a really bad dial-up connection.... couldn't even get e-mail. On the first night the sheets didn't fit the bed and kept coming loose. Positives: The bed -when the sheets... More

We have stayed at the Spyglass several times. It is a little older but it is very safe and has been updated. The ocean front rooms are excellent. The upstars rooms have a nice balcony with a great view. The restaurant is casual, ocean front. The staff is friendly and attentive. They have the best lobster tacos!

This is a MOTEL. It is basic. Unless you are looking at the ocean, you are not getting what you paid for. Amenities in the room are cheap. No hairdryers, no frills. Noisy when there are people around. SECURITY is Nonexistent. I was not even asked for ID when I got a duplicate room key.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Spyglass Inn. Our spacious room was squeaky clean with a comfortable bed, exceptionally nice linens and amenities. Thank you for not expecting me to have my morning coffee from a stryofoam cup! The view was all I could have hoped for and worth reserving an ocean view. Nice little deck on the 2nd... More

Unless you have a room facing the ocean this hotel is not worth the money. I paid with taxes $160 a night and it did not even have air conditioning.......It was hot and the room was just plain. I could have been staying at a Motel 6.......Such a big let down. On the positive side you can take a hike... More
