Stayed on a weekday, great view, right on the beach! The staff is really nice, helpful, exactly how it should be. There was an older lady who checked me in who has a great front desk personality. Rooms are clean. I'm already planning a family vacation here.

We stayed at the Sea Gypsy for a week with a three-year old and had a great time. We had an efficiency unit overlooking the beach. It was spacious and everything was sand coloured (very clever!) with a pull-out couch and murphy bed. The kitchen was well equipped and there were laundry facilities across the hall. The sunsets from the... More

This is my favorite motel to stay in when i'm visiting the central CA coast. There are rooms that aren't on the ocean view side - I would never book them. But the view sides are amazing. Sliding glass doors allow a full view with ocean sound effect and smells, plus a small deck to enjoy a glass of wine... More

We stayed in a non ocean view room and enjoyed every minute of it. Although our window faced the parking lot, pool and spa we were pleased to know we could literally walk down 3 flights of stairs and be on the sand in seconds. Both our daughters stayed in a room with an ocean view and one room was... More

My husband and myself wanted to meet one of our sons in Pismo for a short vaca. We have always LOVED the central coast and Pismo was it for us. He lives in San Diego and we live in Oakhurst. We originally planned to stay (3 nights) at Pismo Lighthouse Suites, which was really nice, but when we decided to... More

this was a great place to break my drive from San Francisco to Santa Monica. For a very reasonable price I had a spacious room (with a kitchen I didn't really need). The balcony overlooking the beach was sublime, as was the sound of the surf which lulled me to sleep. The spaciousness of the room was complemented by the... More

My first time in California, left Pahrump at 5 AM and caught the sunrise in Death Valley and then drove to Pismo on Routes 178 and 58 (WOW!) in time for an awesome sunset. Looked for a beachfront hotel and stopped in at the Sea Gypsy. They gave me an end unit ocean front suite. Very friendly staff and wonderful... More

I love that you are right on the water here. We stayed in a two room suite with a party of 5 we were extremely comfortable. Almost everything you need coffee, coffee maker, microwave, mini kitchen! We spent a lot of time hunting for shells & walking the dogs on the beach. It was sunny and 80 degrees!! I couldn't... More

My wife and I spent two nights at the Sea Gypsy in an oceanfront kitchenette, room 302. There are three floors of oceanfront rooms all having balconies. We were on the third floor, which I think is best. Obviously you have no one tromping around above you, but also balconies on the top floor will have no one sweeping dog... More

My first visit to the Sea Gypsy was in 1987. Went there on a yearly basis into the 90's with the kids. This visit was a long time in coming. The rooms are updated and nice. Lots of room with a wall bed and a nice kitchen area for the beachfront rooms. Access to the beach for a wonderful walk... More
