The Kon-Tiki Inn is awesomely situated with a panoramic view of miles of coastline from every room, but walking down 114 steps to the beach is prohibitive for older guests. we planned our family trip 2 months in advance with this establishment,stayed in contact with them for tips and entertainment purposes. they were fully aware of our itinerary and how many were coming and when we get there they come up and tell us we will have to leave, but we can stay until morning but be gone by tomorrow.... more

I've stayed at pretty much every hotel in Pismo and this one is my favorite. I'ts not by any means the ritziest and does not have all the amenities of some of the higher dollar hotels but there is a feeling of tranquility the minute you pull into the parking lot. I have spent $300-$400 a night for other rooms... more

Great hotel! Super friendly staff. Room was OK, not amazing, but clean and fairly modern. The outdoor hot tubs are very nice and we met some fellow travellers out there at night. We had a great stay. more
