The good news: This is a great location. The campground itself is very open and flat with trees throughout, and one loop is actually a marsh that, when not flooded, is open to campers and quite nice. We stayed in a perimeter spot (83) in the back of the campground, facing the dunes The trails to the beach are numerous,... More

This is a great quite place just over a dune and your on the beach. Dogs welcome. Please pick up after you dog poops. And you can even drive and camp on the beach. So beautiful. Make sure to go into town lots of ice cream shops. Cool shirts to show you have been to pismo . Close to Hearst... More

We come here every year, although getting reservations in the summer are harder and harder. If you want to stay in one of the better spots (loop 5-32), you've got to be online and ready to book as soon as they're available - for example, we just booked a trip for July and had to do it at 8:00 on... We stayed here two nights on our trek up to San Francisco. Super warm welcome when we pulled in to register. We were at site #24. It was great! Plenty of space between campers. Our site backs up on to a sand hill and the beach is on the other side. Beautiful view!!! Was such a lovely surprise! Kids had... More

First visit, invited by RV friends who've camped several times. Being a CA state beach, was surprised to see how neat, clean, and up-to-date. Lots of shade trees and 100± sites to chose from ... at least fall and winter. Understand spring/summer it's almost impossible to get a site. The dunes and beach are steps away; can hear the ocean... We made reservations online, recommended. Stayed 1 night in RV. Should have stayed longer. Beautiful location to enjoy the Monarch groveand spectacular beach. We were right there, at both of them! Nice clean facility, dump station available for RVs. Clean, well-lit toilets. The beach is Stunning with lagoon, and was fairly quiet when we were there. End of October.

Nothing bad to say. Right next to the PCH, clear check-in instructions, big tent spot and parking, nice and clean bathrooms, not a lot of noise at night. Access to the beach right from the camping, beautiful sunsets! Most sites don't have shade.

At the gate it was mentioned that the campground was full, but we gave it a try and were succesful! The camphost was very helpful and our spot was very spacious, clean and right to the beach!! Along the beach we walked to Pismo to enjoy shopping and dining.

We usually reserve 3 to 4 sites because we have a family gathering here every year. As a campground this is one of our favorites. The bathrooms are generally clean and they have showers as well ... bonus! They get cleaned every morning so if you time it right you can take care of business at is most pristine. :-)... More

Great camp site with good facilities however the beach was simply full of petrol heads revving their oversized 4x4's up and down the beach to impress their girlfriends. By far the worst place we stopped off at along the coast. I would give Pismo Beach a wide berth unless you like engine noise through the night
