We didn't get a chance to stay here. This is the story. When recently in California we took a trip to Pioneertown to eat at Pappy and Harriets, it's very busy these days and we had an hour wait for a table. Pioneertown is the definition of fun campy touristy spots, so we took a walk around, as you are... More

We had booked one night here as a stop home on our road trip. We ended up staying two because we loved it so much. We stayed in the room at the end of the building, the Gene Autry room. There are all the quaint old west decorations, books, and a kitchenette; nice clean, but old fashioned bedding with a... More

You want the wild west experience? You want to feel like you could be in an old black and white cowboy movie? You want to stay in the room Gene Autrey used to stay in? Well this is the place. What makes it so memorable is that it's different. I don't care how many stars it has or how good... More

On our west coast road trip we made a special trip to stay in Pioneertown based on the recommendation of friends. It did not disappoint in ANY way. The setting of this place, off the beaten track in the high desert is amazing: so peaceful and far away from any hustle and bustle (amenities of Yucca Valley are only 15... More

This place was billed as a place from the past with a history. Got there and saw a bunch of old buildings that looked as if they needed repairs. I thought it was going to be a wild west complete town all in a row. People had moved in and were living there among the buildings. Most of it was... More

Yup..where else can you bring your horse and dog and stay in a place built by Roy Rogers and his gang? The previous review pretty much sums it up....GOTTA LOVE IT!!! They say the desert preserves things and Pioneertown Inn remains as it was. Don't expect wi-fi, cell phone or cable. Sit out on the porch at night, close your... More

This is my favorite one-star motel. That's not internet sarcasm, it's the truth. It's a great motel. But it is truly deserving of just one star. How is that possible? Because what it lacks in services, amenities, and maintenance it more than makes up for in atmosphere, location, and the general experience. The Pioneertown Motel is a great place to... More

We recently spent the night at the Pioneertown inn and we love everything about it. Pet friendly, clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced. We had the "Barbara Stanwyk" room and it was fun and just a little kitschy without going over the top. This is a great place to stay. We enjoyed sitting outside the room in the evening and... More

You will not be disappointed as long as you don't expect it to be a modern hotel. You get what you pay for - its comfortable and was a great place to stay with my children. Close to pappy and Harriet's for great food and to the Joshua tree national park. Have never seen so many stars in the sky.

This place was so cool! We rolled up and saw where we were staying and went yeehaa! It was cool being beside the old movie sets and staying in the same rooms that Roy Rogers etc. stayed in! The rooms were clean comfortable and full of cool wild west stuff. It was cool being in amongst Joshua Trees - Cowboys... More
