The hotel is pretty well-kept and in a beautiful setting. As a solo traveler this trip, I was all excited to come stay somewhere interesting and off-the-beaten-path, and Pioneertown fit the bill on my way to Joshua Tree National Park. Beware, though: while they may send you a confirmation email that says check in is available until 10pm, at 8:45... More

Wonderful experience, even though I couldn't have the Roy Rogers room! In fact, I felt like the three little bears trying to find a room in which the air conditioner didn't rattle the bed posts. I ended up in room 7, next to the Annie Oakley room. Nothing spectacular, but it was clean and there was no TV in every... More

I chose to stay here for my last two nights of my 2+ week road trip of the SW USA. Check in was swift and no nonsense. This was my only interaction with the staff as there was no-one there when I left at 8.10am? The place is quirky like Pioneertown itself (and also a little weird). The decor is... More

If you're seeing a show at Pappy and Harriet's and you don't want to bother driving home the same evening (or early morning) you should definitely stay at Pioneertown Inn. The rooms are a bit on the small side but they're adorable and kitschy. I shared room 12 with my friend that had a sign that said "The Duke" on... More

I'm very disappointed to be writing this review. I'm not a negative online review sort of person, and generally find that the places I stay conform to the review written by sane sounding people on Tripadvisor. As such, I was looking forward to staying at the Pioneertown Inn. I'm a fan of Pappy and Harriets, the neighbouring bar, and had... More

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay on our way to Santa Monica from San Diego and we knew that we wanted to visit Joshua Tree National Park, and after abit of research we discovered this hidden gem. On arriving we were abit dubious as its remote location is alittle intimidating, but once you start walking... More

My friends and i were on our way home from Joshua tree, when we did an unexpected stop at Pioneertown. We had too much to drink at a nearby bar, it was a good thing there was an available room. First off, one shouldn't expect 5 star accommodations in Pioneertown. The whole place exudes such an old western vibe, and... More

All I can say is I can't remember enjoying staying anywhere as much as I enjoyed staying here. It's the people who work here that make this place special, I can't wait to go back and stay here again. It is slap bang in the middle of an old movie set, so get up early to see it at it's... More

We stayed here our first night after Coachella and it was exactly what we needed. The only issue we ran into was that they had no record of our booking. I had emailed with staff and provided credit card info so that was a bit unnerving, but fortunately when we arrived they had vacancy. Our room faced the ranch and... More

We didn't get a chance to stay here. This is the story. When recently in California we took a trip to Pioneertown to eat at Pappy and Harriets, it's very busy these days and we had an hour wait for a table. Pioneertown is the definition of fun campy touristy spots, so we took a walk around, as you are... More
