This place is not fancy, but it is lots of fun. We had the Programming and Food options and happy we got both. The food is simple, but hearty. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. This was a great Winter Lair experience!

We just returned from a Winter Lair weekend at Pinecrest Chalet. Fresh air, clean and quiet accommodations, good food cooked by someone else (not me!)... As long-time campers at the Family Camp next door (Lair of the Bear) we felt we were in the lap of luxury in our cozy little cabin with gas fireplace and full bathroom (!) plus... More

Really nice location and good prices for the Chalets.. Lots to do nearby and some good restaurants. The walk around the lake and boat prices were fair. and water was very clean. The staff were so easy to work with and kind..bring food with you and water.all though the water was ok..

I rented a townhouse that sleeps 14 for our family and two friends from Aug. 16-21, and we all enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was basically clean, but there were spots on the rug, rips in the bedspreads and an unpleasant smell in certain ares of the first floor. This didn't bother us that much because we were out... More

Wow! I am so surprised to see these reviews. While I agree that it is a nice setting and the staff is nice, it is not enough to recommend it to anyone. We had a two story attached unit near the swimming pool. It has four bedrooms and two bathrooms with open holes in the walls. Dirty hand prints on... More

Just returned from a 4 night stay. Friendly staff, some of the cabins are rustic but clean and have a little charm to them. Very Peaceful and quiet surroundings. The Chalet is a great location if you are visiting Pinecrest lake. A little distance for walking to the beach if you have little ones.

The Chalet is the best place to stay while visiting the Lair of the Bear. It is the perfect location between the camp and lake. The entire staff is friendly and wonderful - Quinn, Nicole, Ken, Eric. It is clean, well managed and reasonably priced! I plan to go every 4th of July week!

Nice place to go with a big family. The wirelles works only near the office house. All chalets are shady and you do not see the sun arises. The receptionist was not gentle at all, he did not make me feel confortable to ask suggestions about sigthseeings around there. I guess that around pinecrest chalet should be better places to... This resort is in the national forest, about 3 miles from Dodge Ridge ski area. We were there in February. The cabins are well stocked, full kitchens, coffee provided. There is a fireplace with firewood. There is a little stream behind the cabins, and lots of trails and recreational activities. The prices are reasonable, people very friendly.

We have stayed at the Chalet several times over the last five years. It is located very close to Dodge Ridge ski resort which allows for an easy drive up the mountain and back. The innkeepers are very nice and helpful. They are the main reason we continue to go back! We prefer to stay in the chalet cabins which... More
