Took a spur-of-the-moment Road Trip with my husband in June 2014. Stayed in Idyllwild first night and then headed down back side of San Jacinto just cruising... Found this place on line and because of reviews, we stopped there. First, it is the ONLY lodging in town!! Looked very rustic, cozy, cute, charming from the outside.... WRONG!! After paying for... Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this motel. I've stayed in some sketchy places, but this was definitely the dirtiest and stinkiest motel I've ever been in. I did have a smoking room only because when I reserved the room it was all they had available. Big mistake. The room furnishings are in dire need of replacement and updating. Do yourself a... More

uring April we checked in for a room and I submitted my credit card. My wife and I went to the room, and found it dirty. The floor was filthy, paint peeling, bathroom filthy. This room didn't come close to livable standards in our estimation. We were in the room less that one minute. I returned to the desk clerk... More

We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay while we drove around Southern California on a road trip, and weren't really sure what to expect here but we honestly weren't expecting much. We got a wonderful surprise. The staff was nice, there's a small grocery store in the complex that had everything we needed, and the local diner/bar had... More

This is an older motel in a nice quiet community. The room was large enough, but the heater (it was cold outside) was either all on or had to be manually turned off. As a result, the room got too hot during the night; and too cold in the morning after turning the heater off during the night. Bathroom was... More

Stayed here on the last night of a long motorcycle trip. Nice, old hotel in a peaceful little community. It has a large covered walkway in front of the rooms with seating, great place to relax after the ride. There is a market and restaurant right there. The rooms were small and the beds were very hard, it is very... More

We had a tough time finding a hotel and as a last resort chose the Pine Valley Inn. The price was $20 higher than the advertised price on the web (due to Pine Valley days they told us) but we were desperate. The Inn looks nice on the outside but the inside could use a bit of clean up. Cracked... More

Pine Valley is a wonderful little town. Much, much better than the tourist trap which is Julian. We thought the Pine Valley Inn was the great little place on the south side of the street. We were wrong. The Pine Valley Inn is on the north side of the main road. The photo which the Inn uses on their website... More

The Pine Valley Inn Motel has all the ingredients to be a great little motel, but unfortunately it doesn't come together. True, we arrived late and the manager was very helpful, but the room oozed with nicotine smell, lamps were broken, the airco so loud that it kept us out of our sleep and the bathroom dirty (and parts missing,...
