We went camping for one night and they had so much available to do for us and the kids, and it is all included in the price. They had a pool; water park, basketball court, volleyball court, kids playground, miniature golf, swings, a night time kids movie with free popcorn. We couldn't believe how much stuff they had for everyone... More

This campground has so much to offer for the whole family with a water spray park , a large pool, mini golf horseshoes, basketball, arcade, playground, wooded nature trail, staff organized activities for kiddies, nearby fishing and many other family style attractions are nearby. Campgrounds are well maintained and bathrooms are in working order and super clean, rates are very... More

Clean, friendly. This was a nice place to stay while touring wine country in the Amador County area. Clean, quiet, great restrooms and showers. Sites well maintained, great staff. We didn't use all of the facilities and were there in the off season (March). A great place to park the Rv and visit wineries. Great WiFi helped us plan our... More

My family and I recently spent three days at the Gold Country Campground in an effort to spend some time at an RV park during the off season while it was quiet. Upon our arrival, we observed easy entry access for our 35" travel trailer and the full sized, crew cab truck pulling it. We were a little late in... More

My wife and I decided to camp for News Years 2015 and wanted a place not to far from home, during our internet search we came upon Gold Country Campground Resort. The description on their website intrigued me, it is situated among the trees, has a pool, pool table in the activity room, a snack bar during the summer months... More

We did a 'girls only' camping trip this weekend and we had a great time. We didn't want to hassle with a bunch of camping equipment since we were doing a relatively short stay, so we opted to rent a cabin. The cabin was actually nicer than I expected, considering this is a camping spot. Very cute back porch, spacious... More

My daughter arranged an extended family trip to this venue after a previous trip with just her family. I'm guessing the park is a little over 2000' elevation, in a mixed oak and evergreen forest. Its moderately hilly for a campground. The facilities are at the bottom of a hill, with tent and RV spots all uphill. Not too bad... More

I don't think I have ever been to an RV campground with sites this narrow. Our neighbor's pop out was so close to our picnic table that you could lean up against it from the bench. Their sewer hookup was two feet from where we ate. I'm not sure that's up to code. I have read other reviews that raved... More

We had a family reunion for 82 at Gold Country Campground and Resort. The amenities made it a fantastic place for family members of all ages. People had great options for bringing their own RV's, tent camping, cabins, or lodge rooms. We used the recreation hall and all of the facilities to the fullest extent possible. Kids loved being able... More
