I have stayed in many best westerns over the last year and I am usually happy. On dec 27th at around 3-4pm I got stuck in realy bad traffic and my 13yr old girl needed to use the restroom BAD!! I pulled off on highway 138 in a emergency for her to use the restroom and possible get a room.... more

It isn't fancy, but has everything you need for a great price. You can hear trucks going up the pass, but after a day of skiing at nearby Mountain High I slept fine. I will definitely stay again. more

If I'm not mistaken, this is the only hotel for several miles in any direction -- it's at the junction of CA 138 and US 15, which is not actually in Phelan (that's a residential community a few miles north) but in Cajon Pass. Nice accommodations. Manager personally telephoned me (after making internet reservations)to say rollaways were not available, but that they had a room with 3 queen beds. Room was large and generally well appointed, although we found a few spiders here and there. Continental breakfast was above average for a hotel this size. Very friendly staff. more
