I booked a hotel room at the Metro for my sister and her husband last week. The place is really charming and European to look at. It was $108 for the night, a bit pricey for Petaluma but I figured it would be so nice that it was worth it. They were in room 1C. At 6am they started hearing... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Metro Hotel and Cafe. We were looking for a place that wasn't a motel and wasn't ridiculously expensive close to wine country. Petaluma is a great little town and convenient to both the coast (Point Reyes, Muir Woods, beaches) and wine country. The hotel is clean and fun. Small European style rooms, funky French... More

This is a half finished hotel, with an awkward entrance that leads to a non-functioing cafe that also serves as the reception. In addition, with only one staff person there is really no level of adequate service. No food, and coffee in a thermos. The hotel is located on a very busy street, yet is quite isolated from the downtown... More

Trying to get in touch with the owners to ask questions was a dismal experience. They never returned any of my phone calls. Finally showed up there and they were very disorganized and rude. Evasive on any question about service. Will never go back.

This is a must see hotel... as world travelers my boyfriend and I always look for unique places to stay and this certainly fit the bill. From the minute you park to the second you leave there are little things gathered from Paris around the hotel to enjoy. Your hostess whom has a french accent will probably prefer to give... More

This is a quirky little hotel. The good points: Walking distance to charming downtown Petaluma, clean, quiet--some road noise early in morning. The downside: No phone, fridge or temperature control in room. Owners and staff are friendly and laid back. Sort of a do-it-yourself hotel.

After reading some of the other favorable Tripadvisor reviews about this Hotel, I made reservations for a weekend trip. The Hotel was very reasonably priced, clean, charming, quiet and romantic. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a nice view of the garden from our window. Plus, you can walk to downtown Petaluma stores, restaurants and movie theatres. Way... More

The Metro Hotel is a cute, Parisian-style budget hotel in downtown Petaluma. The hotel offers easy access to Sonoma and its wineries, as well as the beautiful scenery of California wine country. The bed was very comfortable and the clawfoot tub/shower had excellent water pressure. The free coffee in the morning was delicious. However, as other guests have noted, the... More

We loved the building, and we enjoy the area--we often come down from our home in Reno to get out of the cold for a few days in winter. The room was attractive and comfortable, and the price was certainly reasonable...BUT: I've rarely seen a place so disorganized or so cavalier in its treatment of customers. There was no one... Spent 3 nights at the Metro with our 17 month old son...room opened up outside where there was a little bistro table and chairs and a red bench. Room was VERY clean...wood floors, large enough for a pack and play and then some...closet space, huge armoire, tv, iron, hairdryer....large bathroom with claw foot tube and shower. Although the metro cafe... More
