An unexpected find- reminiscent of an out-of-the way place in the French countryside. Quiet, with a kind of shabby chic ambience. It helps to be a little adventurous to stay here. No cafe as yet, but there are places close by. All in all, a place you will not soon forget.

I stay at the Metro every time I travel from SF to Nor Cal, Mendocino, and have always felt completely at ease there. It's very clean, comfortable, and affordable. Plus the owners are really lovely people, the kind you like to contribute too.

There's not a lot of choices in this area, so this was a gamble for us. It paid off. The hotel has an inviting, warm, stylish ambiance and the room was very comfy and sweet. A bit light on the hot water, but we managed. A nice retreat as you pass through this funky town.
