Our family stayed here August 2014 & we loved this hotel. It was ecclectic, immaculately clean & the service was excellent. The Peet ' s coffee should not be missed. The bedding was so light & fluffy that my daughter ordered some for home use. We felt like we were back in France. Give yourself a treat and stay here.

Loved this place was clean and the staff was wonderful! Would go back again in a heart beat. The beds were fantastic and comfortable. Close to downtown with great places to eat and shop. Very peaceful.

Although it may be a brightly decorated place, the picture on their web page must be from when it was first opened because it looks like a dump from the street now, as does the neighborhood. We were scheduled to stay there on our trip but chose to stay at the Sheraton Sonoma - Petaluma instead. It was on the... More

The Metro property --- on a busy but quiet street just outside the historic center of Petaluma --- consists of the two-story walk-up hotel, a patio with tables, and two Airstream "apartments" flanking the gravel parking lot. The vibe is French B and B. I found it charming, but my husband found our small room and bath underwhelming. Over our... More

My brother and I stayed here on a trip to Sonoma county and we loved it. It's a really nice property with very cute, comfortable rooms that are done up with old French posters and other items. The whole place is well taken care of and provides a make-your-own pour-over coffee station and pastries in the morning. I will be... More

My wife and I stayed here while visiting friends down the street at Zodiacs. We loved this place! The lobby is a eccentric collection of french antiques, bicycles, posters, signs and widgets and items from years long gone. Nice coffee bar for beverages. Staff was friendly and easy going. The room we stayed in was colorful and whimsical. They provide... More

It was a pleasant surprise. The owner was there when we arrived and she was lovely and accommodating. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable, the entire hotel was very clean and i wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend it. In the morning they offer you coffee and some sweet bread which was nice. It was... More

We stayed at the Metro for just one night on a recent trip to California and found it to be very quirky and mostly comfortable and quiet. We stayed in the separate cottage along with some friends and this is a very nice self-contained cottage with a well-stocked kitchen and two large bedrooms. There is only one bathroom which between... More

This hotel has a real hipster vibe, and is cute. The lobby is great with the coffee and French music playing. Our room was a good size as was the bathroom. However, the shower stall was probably the smallest I have ever been in! My other "bathroom" complaint is how long it took for the hot water to come out.... More

After reading other reviews I thought I would give this place a try instead of going to another chain hotel. The place is clean and set like a French B&B. There really is no morning breakfast. You make your own coffee and the bread was very average store bought, thinly sliced blueberry coffee cake. Very disappointed for the morning offering.... More
