We stayed in the lodge which had a fantastic set up. There was a bath, fire place, and a very comfortable bed. Restaurant food was impressive. When we woke up the next morning with a flat, the staff creatively helped us twist off some rusted on lug nuts (never get Fox Rent a Car!). Two thumbs up for Costanoa.

Costanoa is a combination resort/conference center/campground/hotel that is located on an isolated stretch of the Northern California coast between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz. It dates from the 1980s and has a nice lodge where we stayed in a comfortable King size room with a balcony. Prices are somewhat upscale for a basic room without TV but may be... More

Stayed in a 3-person tent cabin for 4 nights. First the bad - check in is at 4pm, but our cabin wasn't ready till 4:30, when we unlocked the cabin, there was a terrible smell - sort of chemical/mold-like, even though all the windows were open. We went back to the front desk and told them the problem and asked... More

I spent a Saturday night here in a tent bungalow on my bike ride to LA and absolutely loved it. This place felt so close to nature and was so peaceful. I generally dislike camping for a lot of reasons (hard to stay clean, putting up the tent is a pain, sleeping is uncomfortable, etc), but staying here in a... More

Have a canvas cabin with No Housekeeping. After several days I asked for a couple of clean towels to replace the two I'd been using. Hosea at the lodge desk reminded me that I have "no housekeeping" and that clean towels are only included with "housekeeping." Fortunately, Hosea hesitatingly gave me two clean, dry towels with the admonition to upgrade... More

I've read alot of the reviews....I really enjoyed our stay, we were in the Douglas fir cabin, the back door opened out to the hills, and trails, very beautiful, heard the birds singing in the mornings while enjoying our organic coffee in the swinging chair. It can be a little odd to not have a bathroom in your own room,... More

I am very surprised I don't see a review like mine on this site. I want to preface this with: I camp a lot, wear earplugs, and I'm a sound sleeper - I'm not sensitive to noise. I stayed in at Tent Bungalow on a windy evening - the wind whipped the canvas into the structure and Crack CraCK CRACK!!... More

We've probably eaten at Costanoa a dozen times but this is the first time we stayed. We did a cabin tent. Really comfy and super clean. The facilities were excellent. Having two places to eat and a full bar nearby didn't hurt. I guess the word is glamping. Also there were a ton of things to do with kids like... More

Needing a break from city life and wanting to see stars at night, I set off for a weekend at Costanoa (billed as an Eco adventure resort). The tent cabin, shared bath/shower (communal), alongside is KOA Campsite with large RV's, and "log" cabins which are not part of the Costanoa resort. The resort has a lodge, restaurant, and a small... More

I stayed here with my daughter at her request. we only spent one night there and left wishing that we had booked more. we chose a tent in the cypress area so that we could use the Jacuzzi, which we did. followed by a sauna and a nice sit down in front of the roaring outdoor fireplace. which was lit...
