If you are a golfer, this is as good as it gets. The hotel is first class (as are the other two properties, The Lodge at Pebble Beach and Casa Palmero), the staff is wonderful, and the golf experience is sublime. Great caddies. Hated to leave. Have been to this hotel many times and it seems like they have forgotten the great service they were known for. The golf shop staff at all the courses (spanish, spyglass, pebble) need to remember we are paying a bloody fortune for the golf and have this cocky attitude. The staff was incredibly helpful making sure all of our reservations were confirmed, always asking if there was anything else we need, outstanding.
