We booked a room for our wedding night while in town getting married. The building stunk of sulphur, smelling like skunks or bad farts. My wife stayed the night before so when we arrived the hotel had not even cleaned the room or made the bedding. The room stunk of skunk smell the bed was a mess ,they charged us for water... more

Pro: right on the park with 'out the door' access to this small, elegant city. Helpfull staff, good parking, resort atmosphere. By far, the best hotel location in town. Cons: Rooms and facilities in general are out of the 70's and the whole place is in need of major updating, ie, you can feel the 40 plus years of use... more

A miserable, condescending woman named Nicole checked us in after we waited twenty minutes to even be acknowledged. Details about the reservation were incorrect. Instead of apologies offered, we were spoken to rudely. The process took absurdly long considering that she kept answering the phone for in depth conversations. The room itself was dirty and outdated! We expected much more... more

OK, I hate people that whine when staying in historic hotels about small rooms and old decor....but....this hotel could do better. This is really NOT an old structure. The wing we stayed in was rebuilt in 2003 after the quake. The decor was tired and old and worn - far beyond what it should look like only 6 years old,... more

If you are looking for 2 - 2 1/2 star accommodations then you will not be let down. If you expect anything more than the Paso Robles Inn is not the place for you. Rooms are very tired and old. Public spaces are nice in that rustic kind of way, but the bar seems to attract a bit of an... more

If you like '50's relics, barely renovated, this is your place. The old Victorian masterpiece burnt down in 1940, eventually replaced with what was then the latest in road trip accomodations. Separate blocks of two story buildings facing a central garden. Friendly staff, nice restaurant, clean rooms. But this town really needs a better hotel. more

We decided to jet up the coast from Simi Valley CA to let the wind take us "where ever" and hit Paso Robles just as the Wine Festival was ending. It was 100 degrees! There were people stumbling all over the park. The hotel sits straight across the street from the festival andwe couldn't believe there was a VACANCY sign.... more

Everything was very nice, and the location is perfect, but one warning... The natural sulfer spring hot tub available in some rooms (an upgrade) smells so nasty you'll do more wretching than relaxing. OK, maybe it's therapeutic, but so are lots of other treatments that don't smell like very rotten eggs. Skip the sulfer, and stay in a standard room. more

We stayed overnight while touring local wineries and tasting some outstanding Zinfandels along HWY 46. Paso Robles Inn offered great, off season rates, and upgraded us to a spa suite. What's not to like? For lunch or dinner, I highly recommend Artisan Restaurant, 1401 Park Street in Paso Robles. Fabulous and creative menu, great local wine, uber stylish decor and... more

I am constantly on the road for work and I make hotels my home. I had a great experience at this hotel when i stumbled into the area by mistake while traveling to Southern California for a business meeting. I could not ask for a nicer place to stay. The rooms are quaint and vintage. The garden is the perfect... more
