Staff was helpful, caring, room was nicely decorated and clean, a very nice place to stay, costs more than others like Atascadero and no continental breakfast just $5 voucher for the restaurant which was overpriced, and the food was good but not great. The grounds of the Inn were beautiful and so clean.

Spacious room, comfy beds, free wifi. Right next to a good and uber-friendly pizza place that was also very good. Restaurant on premises for breakfast. Other food options nearby. Rooms are off the street, so it was quiet. No pets.

We stayed here on our way through the area. It was very reasonably priced and the accomodations were good for the price. The front desk people were very courteous and helpful. The room was very clean. The laundry facilities were also decent (but outside).

All of our stays at the Black Oak have been great. Our kids have swam in the pool in the past. And it si next door to Margie's as well as other great eating opportunities. It is an older property and the rooms can be noisy in the quiet of the night. I'd stay in an upper floor room next... More

I usually stay at Best Westerns because I have always had good experiences. This was no exception. The lobby of the hotel was cutely decorated for Fall, the staff was very nice. The room was clean and in working order. On top of the usually shampoo and conditioners. They had hand sanitizer and other little toiletries. It felt like they... More

Not much to review, just spent the night. Everything was pleasant. I think this review thing is a waste of my time as far as what I can offer. The beds were good. I have a back problem and I suffer on old hard beds in cheap motels. So, thanks for the good beds. Cleanliness is very important and it... More

So this is a quaint Best Western tucked away in Paso that knows how to do all the little things right! Bathrooms were spotless. Beds were comfy. Free water! Free hand sanitizer! Full hair dryers! It's all these small things that yield a huge difference! We'd stay again for sure!

We have stayed many times over the past 18 years at The Best Western Black Oak when we have come to Paso Robles for vacations. We have absolutely always been very pleased with our stay. Even though it sits on a thoroughfare, once you drive into the facility you would never know it. The rooms are quite and comfortable. Definitely... More

We stayed at the Black Oak for four nights in late October after pulling out of a filthy, poorly managed, $300 a night "wine country bed and breakfast". What a difference!! The Black Oak is a spotlessly clean, quiet, comfortable, professionally managed hotel which has thought of everything - even down to multiple plugs in the bedlamp for recharging electronic... More

Great location, one block from the 101 freeway and little over 5 min away from the Paso Robles downtown 11th/12th street). My room was clean, large with a king size bed, small fridge and a microwave. There's a wi-fi access, I was getting kicked out a lot one day, while the next it was fine. The hotel facilities include an... More
