Carolyn and Roland are excellent hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel at home in their beautiful property. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Each room has its own private patio overlooking vineyards and oaks. Breakfast each day was delicious and healthy. The cats and dogs were entertaining, yet unobtrusive. It is a great place... More

Thank you for your review and for purchasing my cookbook, it has a lot of the favorites that I serve here. Including the cookies :) As I've said before, we are fortunate to be in a convenient location and be able to retain the oak land and vineyard surroundings. Cooking has always been a favorite hobby of mine and having... More

Carolyn and Roland are such wonderful hosts at this bed and breakfast with breathtaking views and comforting accommodations. The rooms was perfect and included a bottle fresh baked cookies and fresh flowers. The breakfasts were so yummy I bought Carolyn's cookbook! This welcoming retreat is is located perfectly at the intersections of freeway 101 and highway 46. I highly recommend... More

Thank you for your review and we are glad you enjoyed a relaxing stay. We often have guests that once they arrive don't want to leave their decks or patios. But eventually hunger and the need to explore usually prompt movement. Our pets do add a demension of comfort to most of our guests. They each have their own personalities... More

This is a beautiful spot. The views are gorgeous. The location is convenient to the 101 and right on the 46W winery corridor. The nearest tasting room is walking distance, and dozens are within a few miles. The rooms are quite large, with great baths / showers. The proprietor is incredibly sweet and she makes amazing gourmet breakfasts.

Thank you for your review. We do have the advantage of being convenently located close to town and the one of main corridoors to Paso Robles wine country. While still being among the oak wood lands and vineyards, which make for such beautiful views. I would agree that our rooms are generous in size and as would be expected the... More

My husband and I came to Chanticleer for a week-end away from the rat race. What an ideal location to do that. Carolyn attended to every detail - the room was beautiful, peaceful and quiet and the breakfast was phenomenal. Every detail was attended to including home made cookies in the room each day and a wonderful bottle of local... More

Cozy room with a really comfortable bed. Very clean and lovely views. Breakfast was delicious and Roland and Carolyn provided great conversation and were very gracious hosts. I also loved petting their doggies and kitties. Great visit. Cannot wait to return again.

There's really not a whole lot I can say here that others haven't already said, but let me try. I guess the most important point is that we've stayed at a number of B&B's all over and this is one of the very few B&B's we've found where the owners truly enjoy what they do and work really hard to... Thank you for your review and for choosing Chanticleer as your anniversary get away. We are fortunate in being able to make our living doing something we both enjoy. And as "insiders" to Paso Robles we are sometimes able to help direct our guest towards what they are looking for. We have several nice restaurants in Paso Robles, Il Cortile... More

My partner and I traveled to Paso Robles for a spot of antiquing (which is incredible if you're into teacups like we are) and a little romance. We had an incredibly nice three nights together at Chanticleer. Normally, my partner and I flit around to different B&Bs, but as we left he said "But we're going to have to come... More

Thank you for your stay and for your review. Paso Robles and our neighboring towns are great for antiquing which is a favorite pass time of my mine too. As I recall you stayed in Room 3, which with it's private outdoor entrance some consider our most private room. Our neighbors are located about 4 acre from your door. Because... More

We spent the long New Year's weekend at this beautiful, quiet B&B on the westside of Paso Robles. Our room was beautiful and SO comfortable. Roland and Carolyn are such gracious hosts, it felt like visiting old friends. The view of the vineyards from the house is gorgeous and Carolyn's breakfasts were outstanding! We also loved the game room located... More

Getting away can be a great way to start your New Year, and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Chanticleer. We do experience the seasons on Central Coast of California. We arrived very late after a long flight from the Uk followed by a 4 hour drive. We arrived to a warm and cozy home. We have a soft spot in our hearts for the weary traveler. Especially our international guests that were not able to bring along snacks and are affected by time change. What a beautiful property and amazing hosts! If you're planning on staying anywhere within a 30 mile radius, stay here. You'll love the beautiful, private room which feels like your private cottage in a vineyard. The personalized breakfasts each morning. Everything was above and beyond our expectations for a B&B.

Thank you for your review. As all our rooms are located on the same floor, and have their own outside patio or deck entrance they can have the feel of a private cottage. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you return. Carolyn More
