Asuncion Ridge is worth the drive! It has breathtaking views and the rooms and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. We were greeted with a lovely bottle of wine and snacks, including chocolate chip cookies, in the dining area. Philip is a wonderful host and the breakfasts are delicious. It was just the getaway we needed and we plan to come... More

We felt immediately at home and it felt like we had rented the whole villa! The setting is beautiful with great views and lovely well maintained gardens. There are so many different terraces with comfy chairs to enjoy the outdoors. In the evenings we enjoyed the indoor fireplace with a very good complimentary bottle of Philip's wine. He also makes... This B&B is in Atascadero! The property is very nicely appointed and located if you want to get away from it all. But that is not why we visit the Paso wine country. We want to be IN it all! It takes a good 20 minutes from 101 to get up to the mountaintop where it is located. After a... More

We recently spent two unforgettable nights at this magnificent hilltop escape in the heart of Paso Robles wine country. Our cheerful host, Innkeeper, Chef, and Winemaker Philip Krumal, made us feel at home immediately. The Inn's focal point is the magnificent gourmet kitchen, where Philip prepared omelettes and quiche for breakfast, as we sat at the tiled counter and watched.... More

My husband carefully researched our trip and thought he had found a "little gem" when he booked us for 5 nights at Asuncion Ridge. After a long drive from Palm Springs and a long drive finding this place, we arrived at Asuncion Ridge at 2:45PM to be greeted by Philip Krumal: "You're early, your room is not ready". What a... We spent the new Years hoiday at Asuncion Ridge and we left the property after our three nights feeling as if we were departing from the home of a good friend. Philip Krumal is the epitome of a gracious host. The home is las teh name implies located high a top a mountain ridge and a good thirty minutes from... More

My husband and I spent a weekend there in September. The property is quite secluded at up the end of a hilly, winding road. It reminded me of Tuscany. Very beautiful! I booked it at the last minute and found Phillip extremely accommodating. We booked the Pinot Noir suite and it was just gorgeous. The room was spacious, elegant and... More

My wife and I and two friends spent 4 nights at Asuncion Ridge. The inn is fantastic. Our rooms were beautifully appointed and spacious. The bathrooms have large baths and separate showers. All rooms face onto patios. The common areas include a formal dining room, sitting room and combined sitting room, dining area and kitchen. Our host Philip Krumal was... More

Phillip is the ultimate host and made us both feel completely welcome. The home is stunning. It feels like you've walked onto a photo shoot for a magazine spread. Our room was perfect, and the bed was very comfortable. The location (in the middle of a private gate ranch) is wonderful for stargazing, no light pollution, and bird watching. You... More

We first knew Asuncion Ridge by having joined their wine club several years ago. We have always wanted to try staying at their bed and breakfast inn, which is run by their winemaker Phillip. We finally got our chance and the experience did not disappoint! We were welcomed by Phillip, who had an assortment of snacks and several bottles of... More
