We recently spent two unforgettable nights at this magnificent hilltop escape in the heart of Paso Robles wine country. Our cheerful host, Innkeeper, Chef, and Winemaker Philip Krumal, made us feel at home immediately. The Inn's focal point is the magnificent gourmet kitchen, where Philip prepared omelettes and quiche for breakfast, as we sat at the tiled counter and watched.... More

My husband carefully researched our trip and thought he had found a "little gem" when he booked us for 5 nights at Asuncion Ridge. After a long drive from Palm Springs and a long drive finding this place, we arrived at Asuncion Ridge at 2:45PM to be greeted by Philip Krumal: "You're early, your room is not ready". What a... We spent the new Years hoiday at Asuncion Ridge and we left the property after our three nights feeling as if we were departing from the home of a good friend. Philip Krumal is the epitome of a gracious host. The home is las teh name implies located high a top a mountain ridge and a good thirty minutes from... More

My husband and I spent a weekend there in September. The property is quite secluded at up the end of a hilly, winding road. It reminded me of Tuscany. Very beautiful! I booked it at the last minute and found Phillip extremely accommodating. We booked the Pinot Noir suite and it was just gorgeous. The room was spacious, elegant and... More

My wife and I and two friends spent 4 nights at Asuncion Ridge. The inn is fantastic. Our rooms were beautifully appointed and spacious. The bathrooms have large baths and separate showers. All rooms face onto patios. The common areas include a formal dining room, sitting room and combined sitting room, dining area and kitchen. Our host Philip Krumal was... More

Phillip is the ultimate host and made us both feel completely welcome. The home is stunning. It feels like you've walked onto a photo shoot for a magazine spread. Our room was perfect, and the bed was very comfortable. The location (in the middle of a private gate ranch) is wonderful for stargazing, no light pollution, and bird watching. You... More

We first knew Asuncion Ridge by having joined their wine club several years ago. We have always wanted to try staying at their bed and breakfast inn, which is run by their winemaker Phillip. We finally got our chance and the experience did not disappoint! We were welcomed by Phillip, who had an assortment of snacks and several bottles of... More

This is one of the best B&B's we've ever visited. The location is out of the way from town/highways at the top of a tree-guarded ridge with a 360 degree view of wooded hilltops, vineyards, rolling countryside and the distant ocean, but is absolutely worth the drive. The house is a fabulous upscale Italian villa, decorated with beautiful furniture, wall... More

We had high hopes for this B&B based on the glowing reviews we had read but it actually still managed to blow us away! The location is wonderful, although it's easy to reach Paso Robles for the town and nearby wineries, you feel like you're in your own world and away from everything. It is incredibly peaceful and the rooms... More

There really is nothing to add to all the previous reviews, only that believe them. If you like quiet, understated elegance, knock your socks off beautiful countryside, feeling welcome and cared for - this is the place. It is especially suited for a group using all three rooms. Phillip makes you feel as if it is your house while you... More
