We were greeted by a very pleasant and efficient front desk staff. Our grandchild was even given a "goodie bag" with games and crayons and "teddy" which was much appreciated. Our room was very clean and comfortable with excellent pillows! The walls were quite thin, so it made for a noisy night! The hotel has a nice heated pool and... More

One and only one good thing about this Sheraton ... The location. But this is a hotel that I would rate poorly even if it was $75 a night but its 4-5 time that. Very, very ran down. Ugly interior, bad smell in the rooms. The gym is a joke in terms of size. Outdated and dirty Sheraton. Never will... More

After staying at the Sunnyvale Sheraton the night before for $300 plus...I knew Palo Alto would be more. This one was around 450. Pricey but that's the price u pay for the bay area. Don't expect extra good service just because you are paying so much a night though :-) No complaints here....just another average stay.

I am spending a week at Stanford University and staying at the Sheraton Palo Alto. The location is superb, you can walk to the university and I much enjoyed the early morning runs to get rid of my jet lag. Great to see the sun rise and the campus life coming alive. The hotel is rather poor considering the price... More

Stayed here for three nights for a family event. They put us in an in renovated room that was very small and extremely stuffy. It is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel but the minute we got off the elevator it reeked of smoke. The chair was brimming with dust and I felt like I didn't want any of my... More

I have stayed at this property mNy times both for personal and business reasons. Though it's starting to show its age and always seems to be under renovation, the service and amenities are consistent. Staff are friendly and helpful. Eschew the so called "green option" that offers a $5 voucher or 500 Starpoints per night in lieu of housekeeping. The... More

Proximity to Stanford and downtown Palo Alto is the main attraction of this hotel. It was originally built as a Holiday Inn and it appears to have been some time since the last remodel. We normally stay at the adjoining Westin but it was fully booked on this occasion. The front desk staff and bellman were very pleasant and helpful.... More

The room is very clean and the bed is comfortable. Stayed in a building behind the pool, the door has a very large gap near the ground, so you can hear everything in the hall, people talking, people knocking on other rooms, etc. Staffs are friendly, the location is great, next door to Stanford. Probably because I booked at last... More

Although the hotel is a nice hotel (and our suite was quite large), the walls between the rooms are quite thin, leaving you to question for a moment if the conversation that you're hearing might even be taking place inside your own room, rather than next door. The room was nicely appointed and well-kept, and the grounds were pretty. The... More

This is not a "luxury hotel" as the description implies. It's a sub-standard Sheraton that has a good location. Service is great. People are great. The hotel needs a serious makeover. Rooms are okay. Common areas are outdated. Duct tape is used to cover the extension cord of the drink machine across the hall. Furnishings are old. Bar is pre-historic.... More
