I stayed at this hotel for four days. The hotel is conveniently located near Standford and shopping. The lobby is small, however the pool area provided more space to the lobby. I've never tried the pool because it does not provide for any privacy. Checkin was fairly quick. The walk to my room was a bit of a hike. The... More

I thought this was a nice hotel and I enjoyed the Asian / Japanese motif of the hotel with the very well manicured grounds complete with large koi pond and fountains. It was a very comfortable environment to spend the night in. I could hardly believe that this close to Stanford's campus as well as all of silicon valley that... More

Hotel is good. Nothing special but good for the price ~$120. Remodeling occurring in lobby, bar temporarily outside, Internet is additional which is annoying, within walking distance to Stanford/Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. There are a few minor maintenance issues. We might try the Westin next door the next time we come in the summer.

I thought the Sheraton Palo Alto was a 4-star, maybe I was wrong. The room is spacious but the bath ware and TV set are old. The breakfast was very basic. The frontdesk was not very careful and I was overcharged by ~US$ 100 dollar for my 4-days stay. Fortunately I pointed it out to hotel staff and they refunded... More

This hotel is NOT good! First the check in is very small and essentially outside - it gets cold and rainy in Palo Alto - not pleasant. The bar is also outside...very odd - it's a cart in a rainy courtyard. The entire hotel is a gross 70s brown. The restaurant looks like an old retirement home cafeteria. The rooms... More

Dear SWTTRAVELS, Thank you for your feedback. I apologize for the inconvenience that the renovation has created. That said, the renovation is making great strides and the first of our new rooms will become available later this week. I hope you will consider returning in the near future as I can assure you that once completed, it will be an... More

When you wake up to hearing your neighbor taking a shower and your other neighbor talking on the phone because the walls are not blocking the sound, it might be a bit too noisey. Don't expect to sleep well at this hotel if you are not a heavy sleeper. In general, this is a very run down hotel, certainly for... More

When we arrived and unpacked at the next hotel the evening we checked out of the Sheraton Palo Alto, I discovered my favorite (and rather pricey) flats were not in my bag. I immediately called the Sheraton to let them know I had left them in the room. I was stunned when they called back and told me they were... More

Given the price and location you may think this is a nice hotel. Well, clear that from you mind. Its basically an old hotel that hasn't been renovated in forever and was never that nice to begin with. Lots of stains on the carpet, lose or missing screws, very few electrical outlets etc etc. However, its fine for a business... More

We were greeted by a very pleasant and efficient front desk staff. Our grandchild was even given a "goodie bag" with games and crayons and "teddy" which was much appreciated. Our room was very clean and comfortable with excellent pillows! The walls were quite thin, so it made for a noisy night! The hotel has a nice heated pool and... More

One and only one good thing about this Sheraton ... The location. But this is a hotel that I would rate poorly even if it was $75 a night but its 4-5 time that. Very, very ran down. Ugly interior, bad smell in the rooms. The gym is a joke in terms of size. Outdated and dirty Sheraton. Never will... More
