The architecture of Palo Alto is never going to set the heart alight. Lots of low-rise blocks and strip-malls. However, Dinah's is something of a pleasant oasis. Nice pool area with interesting water / garden features as you walk to your room (in one of several 'blocks' around the site. My room was good. Clean and bright overlooking the inner... More

The finishes are nice, but the buildings are old. The parking is funky and tight for a big car. The hotel has character. While the staff was nice, they were not overly helpful. First of all, no maid ever visited our room even though we stayed two nights. We were out of our room from 9:15 to 3:50, the maid... More

"Garden Hotel" says the name, and garden hotel it is! Really quite lovely, and absolutely up to date, although something about it, may be the landscaping and maybe the way the low buildings are arrayed in configurations of one story and two...reminds me of the old-time motels that are family owned and comforts may be found, but probably not. Well,... More

We were in town for a football game and researched where to stay for hours and finally decided to stay at Dinahs, and so glad we did.....This Hotel is very nice, large rooms and friendly staff! Also beautiful water lagoons...try to stay in a room that opens up to the lagoon. We defiantly recommend this place!!!

My wife and I stayed have stayed at Dinah's Garden Hotel 3 times while she consulted with medical staff at Stanford. I'm going back to stay a week while My wife undergoes back surgery. The rooms at Dinah's are spotless and spacious. The grounds are beautiful and gives one a feeling of Hawaii. There are fountains, coy swimming in ponds,... More

Two adults & one teen spent just one night here after attending a wedding nearby. I wish we could have stayed at least two nights! The room was attractive & quiet, the grounds beautiful, & the service impeccable. Front desk staff were friendly & efficient. Having reliable wifi was important during our brief stay, and it worked perfectly. We arrived... More

We spent just one night here on our recent trip to California with our 3 year old twin boys but it may have been the nicest afternoon/evening of our trip. The staff was extremely helpful with getting us into the right sized room for our family of four and even let the boys feed the fish in the koi pond... More

I've stayed here before (and reviewed it), came back again on business for 1 days in early August. It was as good as ever - large room, well-fitted, free wifi, free parking, fresh apples in the room, very clean. Reception staff friendly and helpful; food service around the pool good value. Pool very good - and child-friendly. Clean, and towels... More

I have stayed at Dinah's Garden Inn 4 times in the past 2 years, as it is very close to where my son lives in Palo Alto. Each time, my room is a little bit nicer, cleaner and more modern. It is not a big sterile chain, and not a one-off funky B&B either. Sort of in the middle, which... More
