If you know the hustle and bustle of Palo Alto, the traffic, the noise and the utter confusion and you have to go there to stay for business or pleasure you simply MUST stay at Dinah's Garden Hotel for your sanity. Dinah's Garden Hotel is a piece of heaven placed right in the middle of town. I couldn't say enough... More

I showed up to Dinah hoping to check-in to the reservation I made. Well it turns out my reservation was not until the next day and the hotel was sold out of rooms. As soon as Allan saw I was stranded he not only went out of his way to find me a room at another hotel, but then went... More

Recently I said in a room that cost several hundred dollars per night. I found the hotel grounds to be well maintained but old and outdated. My room had a cold tiled floor that I couldn't walk on with my bare feet, so I had to setup a path of towels all over the floor. The room itself was very... More

I was in one of the suites as a solo traveller for business. The suite was clean, furnished in a classical style; and service was accurate. When I entered the suite the guy at the reception immediately called me to check if everything was fine. The kitchenette was clean and well equipped.

Feels like a tropical mountain getaway. Nice gardens, I had a great spacious and quiet room in the 300 block. BIG shower, seemed new. Loved the guys at the brakfast and had dinner there 2 timeswhich was really enjoyable too. I think there's more upscale hotels but I love the gardens, the feeling of the non-business hotel, the friendly employees.... More

I don't often use the word "cute" to describe a place, but this was an unusual amalgam of zen and kitsch that resulted in "cute". The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant food was very good. Didn't use the pool, but it looked clean and the area around it was... cute. Only minor warning is that... More

A peaceful oasis, huge room, comfy beds, luxury pillows, and great breakfast. Gorgeous grounds, worth a stroll. If you're looking for a unique escape from the typical cookie-cutter hotel, this is your place.

Lured by the photos of a lush garden I was surprised to find a slightly upgraded motel. On the plus side, the bathroom, room service food and pool side drinks were nice. However, our ground level garden room overlooked the pool which meant that pool guests could see into our room. Also, our room was not cleaned until about 4:00... More

My first visit to Palo Alto was surprisingly delightful with my stay at this great and well run establishment. Although they were just trying out their new computer system at check-in, they were very welcoming. When I lost my way trying to find my room, one of the cleaning staff walked me to my location to ensure I wouldn't get... More
