One night for 300 hundred dollars, checked in and go to the room, the lights are dim, bed sheets not neat with folds, the room air doesn't smell nice, while living in the room, table dusts are thick, s bathtowels and face towels are not changed, and every night paying for the same amount of money, why is there no... This place USED to be awesome. My parents would stay there all the time when they visited me at Stanford then all of a sudden new owners came about I think 2-3 years ago and the place is now horrendous. The rooms are clean and decorated nicely, but they really need to cut back on all the plants and trees... More

Everything in this area is expensive. Given the cost of a room at the Terrace Inn you could anywhere else expect a top experience. But, alas, this is not the case. The place is quite remarkable with all the flowers and plants - sure, it's nice and a great asset in trying to give something special. There are plants everywhere... More

At a "luxury" hotel, I expect to be able to take a shower. But there was no hot water, and no one on site to fix it. (And apparently only one person on the planet can fix hot water issues at this hotel, and he was late to work that day.) After two calls to the front desk, no one... More

This is one of the oddest hotels that I have ever stayed at. I got sucked in by the great photos, and the "green" brand positioning on their website. So what is the hotel like? You drive into the parking area, and there are literally potted plants EVERYWHERE. You walk around a bit downstairs in the underground parking lot, and... More

So there are breakfast and breakfasts. This place has the best breakfast ever, healthy, excellent coffee and great variety of very healthy things. The place is well located and you are 15 minutes away walking from campus and local transportation. Service is very good.

What if the true luxury is a place unlike any other? Then this is true luxury. Even the parking garage is full of plants. The staff were personable and efficient, there's a laundrette, my room was very spacious (and the windows opened). The breakfast was OK, lots of fruit, but I'm not wild about breakfast buffets.

.....3 night stay with a friend who had eye surgery/post-op check-up at nearby Stanford Hsp...first impression is the plants! TONS of them...everywhere...had a room at the end in the back/big window at end of building..looking over a big empty lot next to a busy road. Room was big/beds comfy...a/c unit under window worked well but noisy..has microwave & fridge..overall clean... More

Interesting place. We immediately asked to change rooms, the first one stank so badly you couldn't take a deep breath, it overlooked a roof. We were stunned at the appearance at nearly $300 per night! The second room stank as well, but it had a nicer view. So: NEGATIVES- way overpriced, impossible to control temperature, rooms malodorous dirty/shabby (coverlet on... More

This property is outdated and not taken care of very well. There are so many plants and flowers that it's overwhelming especially since they aren't pruned or well kept. The staff was fine but certainly not top rate. My room smelled as did my sheets. I fortunately only had to stay one night and after the long trip from the... More
