Cool, small boutique hotel in Palo Alto; highly recommended for solo business travelers because it's literally two blocks from Caltrain depot as well as the downtown Palo Alto bars like the Old Pro. And one of your hotel walls is a whiteboard (pens and eraser included); but you would only want to have a brainstorm meeting with a few people... More

I stayed here one night on business. As other travelers have indicated, the rooms are very small: I stayed in a deluxe at $269 per night and I would estimate it measured no more than 15' x 10'. The room decoration could be described as "designer Spartan" with no door to the bathroom, no door to the closet, and a... More

I stayed in this hotel for a few nights whilst working at Stanford and its really helpfully situated near the CalTrain and general down-town Palo Alto. The hotel itself is very clean and of super modern design, which I really liked. The staff are helpful and someone is always on hand if you need anything. With its stylish looks and... More

Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and my room (though tiny - seriously small) was very clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. The location is great for visiting Stanford. My only real complaint is the noise problem that I think others have mentioned. I stayed over a weekend, and the bar... More

I stayed here one Saturday night with my husband and would have stayed longer, because of the excellent location, good price and the nice decor, if we would have been able to get a good night sleep. There's a club behind the hotel that's very loud, it goes right through the wall. Loud music and people on the street. Unless... More

We are pleased to announce that as of May 17, 2011, Bistro 412 on Emerson Street (the club whose noise was noted in this review) has closed its doors, thereby eliminating all noise issues. We are still looking at alternate window solutions despite this development. More

Let me start off by saying that I travel 100-120 days a year fro business and have had the experience of staying at a wide variety of hotels. Our company is located near this hotel in Palo Alto, however, this is NOT a business hotel. Due to its location relative to Stanford University, this hotel is more suited to visiting... More

The rooms are small. If you want a closet or ironing board, upgrade to the deluxe room. The rooms, although small, are very comfortable. The location is perfect. It is within walking distance to many parts of the university, to shops and places to eat, and the Caltrain station.

The good. It is clean and the staff is friendly. The bad. The rooms are tiny, many rooms have smoked windows you cannot see out of. The first room I was in blew a fuse, I had to switch rooms. When I asked if they could reset the breaker they said, no..that the last time they did they lost power... More

The rooms are decorated really nicely and have some neat characteristics in them. We found the standard room a bit small for two people as there isn't enough closet space in the room. The deluxe rooms are better sized and quite comfortable. the lilttle halogen light in the bathroom was a convenient night light. The continental breakfast was great in... More

This is a small hotel in a converted 3-storey commercial building just off Palo Alto's lively University Avenue. It seems to have been freshly renovated - public areas and rooms were bright and clean. Decorated in a generic modern boutique hotel style, there's nothing to offend one's taste (but nothing to get too excited about either). Staff were very friendly... More
