We spent a night at the Hotel Keen. This was our third night at this centrally located, hip, small, boutique hotel in Palo Alto. The hotel is 1/2 block off university and 3 blocks from the main Stanford entrance. Rooms are small but comfortable and well-appointed. The staff are welcoming and accomodating. The buffet continental breakfast was excellent and improved... More

Amazing location, cute decor, and friendly staff. However, you can hear everything going on in the other rooms and halway. The air is directly over your bed and blowing on your face all night. Shower is beautiful, but very narrow and not for everyone. T

Rooms are small with hanging space limited to a hook on the wall, this is OK for single traveler short stays but would be an issue with couples who are looking for a Palo Alto base for a a week or more as you will be keeping all your stuff in your cases. There is no restaurant but the hotel... More

Yes, rooms are very small...let's get that out of the way. It's Palo Alto...do you have any idea what real estate costs?? Are you really interested in hiding in your room anyhow? I recently stayed here for almost two weeks on a biz trip. The location is a few blocks from everything that matters in PA. The rooms are sparkling... More

Firstly let me say the Hotel is perfectly situated, near the University, and near the center of Palo Alto, which by the way is charming and very "user-friendly". Every establishment we visited had operating Wifi and some of the eateries were better than good. As for the Keen, alas what do you do with a Hotel whose rooms are small... More

I frequently travel to Palo Alto and stay at the Hotel Keen as often as it is available. It has the perfect location- walking distance to University Avenue and its many shops and restaurants, the most comfortable rooms- great beds and bedding, and a simple yet elegant bathroom, a staff like no other greetings guests as they come and go... Palo Alton is not renowned for inexpensive accomodation but Hotel Keen is the exception. Tucked away just off University, this is quite a surprise and will do well. It is litterally 100 yds from all the restaurants, shops and life of PA but at the same time is quiet and welcoming. A little funky, the rooms aren't huge but that... More

Hotel Keen is nice, clean and quiet, which is excellent for Business trips. Located down town Palo Alto, walking distance from many nice restaurants and shops. The service is friendly and very professional.

Ideally located in the centre of Palo Alto, unlike the Westin and the Sheraton which overlook the railway track. Small, friendly, and inexpensive given that this is Palo Alto. No restaurant but there is a very well stocked honour bar from which to sip and many options in the surrounding streets. Newly remodelled rooms in typical clean modern style ....... More

Hotel keen is conveniently located from the train station, Stanford university & shopping center and Univ Av (which is where all the action is!) and one can easily walk down to these places. The rooms are clean and well -kept, though some may find rooms to be very small. I found the staff very nice and helpful (in particular Matt... More
