Modern (looks very new), clean and comfortable (everywhere) and good location for Palo Alto. A small room, but OK for two people. The staff are friendly, helpful. Quiet area of town, but a warning about next room noise (bring ear plugs for sleep, if necessary). Street or public parking area next door is good for weekends, otherwise you will need... More

This hotel could only appeal to someone who is traveling on someone else's dime...think tech firm or our government...or someone who travels with only a back-pack. The rate in April was $475 a night (no, it was not during Stanford graduation) for a room that has no closet, no luggage rack, no door on the bathroom, a bed that you... More

Hotel keen is a decent option for a business hotel in center of Palo Alto, but I'm convinced about the overall value proposition. The plus: - Location - Relatively modern - Clean rooms The minus: - The rooms are tiny - No wardrobe, just a basic hanger. Not even a rail to hang your clothes...(given all the reviews mentioning this... More

You can't be all things to all people, and the Hotel Keen doesn't try to be. What it is is a small, smart and stylish alternative to the huge menu of hotels in the Palo Alto area, all of which book out mid week with prices north of $500 per night, and all of which drop into wildly affordable territory... I've stayed at Hotel Keen on 3 occasions for about a week each over the course of the last year. My latest stay was in late February 2015. Location in the center of town is unbeatable - just minutes to the Caltrain station and one block away from restaurants, shops and businesses on University Avenue. Rooms are clean and well-appointed,... More

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip in March 2015 and it was perfect for that. It is a small boutique hotel in downtown Palo Alto. The location is great to walk to all the offices/shops/restaurants in the area. Public parking - no dedicated lot but was never a problem, The lobby is no fills - small, clean... More

Before writing this review I thought long and hard before about writing a scathing review... But came to the conclusion that at Hotel Keen, they just don't care! - Are the rooms small... Yes - Do they work... Not really, electricity cuts out when you put the shower on and you have to come to reception to get it sorted... More

You readily admitted that you were unsure of how the laundry worked yet opted to leave the bag on your bed instead of checking to see what should be done with it. With regard to your room rate - it was not incorrect. Your associate had an issue with his rate but, as we did explain, the rate package that... More

Once again the Hotel Keen delivered and more. Clean, crisp modern decor, a lovely self-serve European style breakfast that always hits the spot, wine tasting and cookies in the late afternoon and evening, an ideal Palo Alto location, and the friendliest and most helpful staff I've ever experienced. If you like a boutique hotel experience with a laid back vibe... More

First room they gave me had no closet - just a hook on the wall. Seriously? Just stayed in a cheaper room in Manhattan than managed to have a closet. For $20 extra they moved me to a "deluxe," which has a rod behind a curtain. Situated next to the lobby and breakfast room, this room was not quiet. The... More

I travel to Palo Alto 1-2 times every month. I usually stay at a different hotel but it was booked so I decided to try out Hotel Keen because the location looked great. Bad decision. I stayed 2 night and paid $880 total ($440 per night). For that price I felt totally ripped off and genuinely had a bad experience... More
