Overall, pretty solid hotel depending on what you're looking for. I was in the process of moving out of Palo Alto, all my stuff had been packed out of my apartment, and I just needed a place to crash for the night. The lobby is actually very impressive and very well designed. I got a sense that I was walking... More

This is a perfect hotel for a business traveler who won't be spending much time in the room. It is a small boutique hotel located on a quiet street. Friendly staff. Immaculate. Comfortable bed. Deluxe toiletries in the bathroom. Excellent continental breakfast - among the choices were FAGE yogurt, Umpqua oats, Babybel cheese, scones. Keep in mind that the building... More

This place is pretty grim. I could hear every word that the person in the room next door to me was saying, as well as every word the person they were calling was saying. The walls are paper thin. Coffee was hideous. No bar or restaurant or any amenities of any kind. There are far better places to stay in... More

First visit and ideal. Very contemporary, close to University, shopping, train and restaurants. Our deluxe was great, complimentary breakfast in the morning, shopping at various areas close by, farmer's market and dinner. The staff, very friendly and Thomas Ryan, head of guest services went beyond the call of duty with great information and after dinner dinner cookies, which were the best... More

A colleague's inexperienced executive assistant booked this hotel. It's like a soup kitchen but without any soup. No bar, but Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall was a unique amenity. Did discover there was a bar around the block because I could hear it rocking until the early hours. I loved that the windows open but would be kind of nice if... More

This was my third stay at the Hotel Keen. All three times the rooms were well-appointed, extremely tidy, and felt modern yet cozy. While the spaces aren't gigantic, they are well-designed and highly functional, and I find the clean modern decor to be refreshing and especially not dated without being stark. The included breakfast is perfectly on point with a... More

My one-night stay at Hotel Keen in Palo Alto, California turned into a nightmare. From paper thin walls, noisy guests, to rude staff. For the price $500 per night, I got no sleep, endured hours of excessive noise from hotel guests, and a room one could hardly turn around in. Overall a very disappointing experience. When I expressed my concerns... More

This hotel was pretty disappointing - all the more given I'd expect something better in Palo Alto, and for the price. I stayed here 4 nights for a conference in Stanford. Staff were friendly, but the stay started badly, as power was out in the hotel for the first hour of my stay. Rooms were pretty basic, which is fine,... More

I was in Palo Alto for a conference at Stanford, and my the Hotel Keen looked perfect. Walking distance to the campus venue, easy walking to the University Avenue restaurant row awesome. Also a short two blocks from the Palo Alto Caltrain station, making getting to/from SFO a breeze. I've seen people complain about the size of the rooms. I... More

This place is half a block from University Avenue and 1 block from Caltrain. Being able to walk everywhere in Palo Alto and take Caltrain/BART to/from SFO airport is a real cost savings when travelling. As others have mentioned, the rooms are small, but they have everything one needs. The continental breakfast (included) is surprisingly good: brewed coffee, espresso maker,... More
