This is a hotel that is easy to love and difficult to criticise. Still, I'm not awarding it 5 stars even if the limitations are, to be fair, beyond its control. (I know, I can be a tough grader.) As other reviewers have observed, it's a small hotel. Just because it is small does not make it a boutique. The... More

If you're looking for a Boutique Hotel with excellent service, convenient located in the heart of Palo Alto downtown area and with a modern style. then look no more Hotel Keen is the perfect place. We hardly used our car, everything was there. Lots of restaurant and Stanford Shopping Center is only a couple of blocks away. We used Cal... More

I love cookies and I was super excited to find white chocolate chip cookies in the lobby when we arrived in the evening. Hotel covered all the bases nicely - I like their bathroom products, towels were nice, AC worked decent, teas and coffee in the lobby. Also, there's a ton of cafes down the block on university. Bed was... More

Been here twice now and both times the stay was amazing. Although this is a small boutique hotel, it's big on customer service. The rooms are small, but have all one really needs. It was clean and very comfortable. It is centrally located in downtown Palo Alto and walking distance to Stanford University and Stadium. It's a little on the... More

Great little hotel in the heart of downtown palo alto. Perfect for the business traveller, especially one who prefers a smaller hotel with a design-friendly experience. Location could not be better, and prices are great compared with cookie-cutter hotels in the area like Westin, etc.

Stayed here recently for business and had a good experience. Great location downtown. Rooms are very small, but had everything you would need -- wifi, comfy bed, desk, decent sized bathroom. Decent free breakfast with pastries and coffee. White board wall in the room a plus. Overall a good experience.

It's clean. Modern. Simple. No frills. Don't expect the usual suspects such as a large room with desk, closet, or continental breakfast. This place is about efficiency in small packages. You only get a few coat hangers on the wall for necessaries. Bathroom very well done and up to date. Loved the white board wall. Despite it lacking in spacious... More

Modern (looks very new), clean and comfortable (everywhere) and good location for Palo Alto. A small room, but OK for two people. The staff are friendly, helpful. Quiet area of town, but a warning about next room noise (bring ear plugs for sleep, if necessary). Street or public parking area next door is good for weekends, otherwise you will need... More

This hotel could only appeal to someone who is traveling on someone else's dime...think tech firm or our government...or someone who travels with only a back-pack. The rate in April was $475 a night (no, it was not during Stanford graduation) for a room that has no closet, no luggage rack, no door on the bathroom, a bed that you... More

Hotel keen is a decent option for a business hotel in center of Palo Alto, but I'm convinced about the overall value proposition. The plus: - Location - Relatively modern - Clean rooms The minus: - The rooms are tiny - No wardrobe, just a basic hanger. Not even a rail to hang your clothes...(given all the reviews mentioning this... More
