The Riviera Resort in Palm Springs is 5 minutes away by car to downtown, where on Thursday evenings the main road comes a lively street fair. The rooms were clean; the wallpaper on hallways was quite distracting. Spa resort fee is mandatory; if you don't have a computer, internet service is not free. At the exercise room, we saw stacks... more

Recently booked a weekend stay at the Riv and found it to be a very sexy fun place. The pool scene is amazing Joe the pool manager goes out of his way to make sure your having great service. The Bikini bar staff is well cute and very good at keeping a cool drink in your hand. All in all... more

My husband and I decided to stay at this hotel for our anniversary and we are so glad we did. The room was amazing and very comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful pool and jacuzzi during the day and returned to the pool in the evenings to sit by the fire pit and enjoy a drink by the fire. Their spa... more

Based on previous comments, I was expecting worse, but I was pleasantly surprised by our overall experience at the Riviera. Upon arrival, we we were greeted by a friendly staff member who checked us in. He noted that since we booked with a Travelocity rate, that meant we should have a standard room (views of the parking lot or a... more

This was our third visit to The Riviera. I have such high hopes and was hoping they could finally get it right. This is so disappointing. Overall, the staff is pretty friendly and there seems to be so many of them, so why is the service still so bad? Forget getting your food at the pool in under an hour.... more

The last time I was at the Riviera was in 1979; it was a hopping party scene in those days, and I was always right in the middle of it somewhere. Jump forward 30 yrs: The place looks great with the fresh paint job and new sticks. The pool still is one of the best anywhere in my opinion, with... more

After traveling for a good part of 2010, we have been to multiple places in different cities - Boston, New York, Chicago and now Palm Springs. Without a doubt the busiest and best hotel we visited was this Riviera over Valentine's Day weekend. Huge venue with lots of exciting lounges and beautiful grounds. What set this place apart from the... more

My husband and I needed a R&R weekend, and had never been to Palm Springs. We stayed at the Riviera Resort and it was a perfect Palm Springs location. The hotel is great-fun decor, a great restaurant and a relaxing pool. The Spa was awesome---had both a manicure and massage, and they were wonderful The staff was very friendly through... more

A friend recommended this hotel, but I couldn't say enough bad things. We were given a room with a view of a dumpster behind the kitchen, when we requested a different room, we were told thats what you get when you book through Expedia and refused to move us, the room was not clean and we found a bloody used... more
