My daughter and I looked at several places to stay, and decided on the Monroe after reading reviews and seeing the photos. Check-in was extremely easy, and the clerk was very friendly. The lobby area was clean with water, lemonade and cookies for the guests. There was a pool party going on, so after a quick check of the pool... More

Stayed at the Monroe for 3 nights - Dec 31 2013, Jan 1&2 2014. Hotel was very affordable and provided a great compromise - it was quite warm in Palm Springs when we were there - by Canadian standards ;) - and my SO wanted a bit of sun and pool time and I wanted to go and explore the... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, a few weeks prior I emailed requesting a room close to the office as I noted on other reviews that poor internet had been experienced in rooms further away from the office. I never received a response but our room was reasonably close to the office, internet was still very slow and we experienced... More

We weren't looking for a resort here, just a decent place to stay while in the desert taking care of some business. I felt lucky to have found this hotel during spring break period and was pretty surprised by how nice it was. The room was modern and clean, had a very quiet AC system that didn't keep us up... More

What can I say. This hotel/motel has only has a basic refurbishment. The rooms have been painted and have new flooring and furniture. The bathroom fixtures are the original ones and show the wear from years of use and cleaning. The free breakfast is served in a restaurant on the other side of a busy road from the hotel. We... More

I stayed here for 2 nights and was very pleased with how clean the room was and how comfortable the bed was. It's super close to the Aerial Tram and to the shopping areas, but not close enough to make parking a nightmare. Very conveniently located. Free breakfast is provided at Rick's Restaurant across the street and it's served from... More

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at The Monroe. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room and were pleased witrh the comfortable king sized bed. Pool was okay but could have bween heated. Complementary breakfast across the road at Ricks was fine.

We had a great time at the Monroe. We usually have to go outside of Palm Springs to find something affordable, but not this time! As long as you're not expecting anything fancy, this place rocks! Clean, remodeled rooms, coffee and cookies in the office, very friendly and on point customer service. We would definitely stay here again.

My daughter (19) and I stayed at the Monroe for 5 nights. The room was clean, beds comfortable. At first glance I thought the room was too small for our week stay and was disappointed there was no fridge/microwave in the room. It turns out the room was just fine for us as we were basically there to sleep and... More

The room was basic but clean, bed was comfortable. It was an adequate place to sleep the two nights we were in town. Our main complaint was how incredibly noisy it was in the room - probably in part because we were in a corner room right next to a stairwell on the first floor. People walked by chatting all... More
