Terra Cotta Inn has been sold as of Nov 12, 2015. It will remain open through the end of November, then will close for extensive renovation. It will reopen in early 2016 as a textile resort. The sellers claim they had four potential buyers who would have kept it clothing optional, but all fell through.

Palm Springs for the first time, and in a resort with charming history of movie stars and a US president. We were in such lovely surroundings and gained so many new friends that our week went by too quickly. Tom & Mary Clare are gracious hosts, and seem to know everyone - but that may be due to so many... More

In the past 15 years, we've been to half a dozen clothing-optional resorts in the US, and at least that many in and around the Caribbean. But somehow we just recently got around to TCI, and are generally glad we did, Clothing optional venues (of the non-swinger variety, anyway) are in lamentably short supply in the US, and TCI is... We visited on a day pass on a Sunday afternoon. The woman who checked us in was very nice and gave us a tour of the hotel. The property has a changing room with a bathroom and shower for your use. It has a hot tub that is partially secluded form the main pool. The grounds were properly maintained and... More

This was our first time here and first time at a clothing optional resort. We spent four days here for our 36th anniversary. This was the most relaxing and best vacation we have ever taken. We felt comfortable as soon as we entered the property. Within minutes we no longer had any reservations about this being a clothing optional resort.... More

Had a great weekend stay. Very quiet and peaceful. The resort is clean although showing a bit of wear it was comfortable. The desert is hot but the misters and pool kept us cool. They had a nice little breakfast and snacks available. Downtown is a quick drive away and has wonderful restaurants and places to shop. I would stay... More

My husband and I first came to the Terra Cotta Inn 12 years ago for our honeymoon. Most relaxing vacation we ever had! We were finally able to go back this past summer after an overseas trip. Again, the most relaxing stay ever. This is a small resort. You get to know the other guests and the owners as well.... More

My wife and I stayed at Terra Cotta last April and had a great time. As we were celebrating out wedding anniversary we decided to return to T.C. for some serious r and r. On arrival, don't expect to be standing in line to speak to some franchise employee, wearing a suit and tie giving you the runaround. If you... More

We had a one night stay here. It clearly catered to an older clientel - a lot of regulars who gave the impression that the whole place was a bit cliquey. Pretty hard to engage with anyone which is usually not the case at these places. We were particularly put off given that in the next room some drunken mad... More

Hi, My name is Tom Mulhall, the owner of The Terra Cotta Inn. Thank you for your post. April, when you stayed, is a very popular month at our resort. I remember you because you asked do we get many 20 something year old guests ( I rarely get that question as most nudists really don't care about ages, that's... More

This was our first time at this resort and we loved every moment. The Terra Cotta Inn is a gem. The music was perfect, the breakfast was exceptional, the option to order lunch was a plus because we had no desire to leave the property. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. It was exactly the relaxing, stress... More
